Home Sweet Homestead progression[edit]

I just did Dragonfall, and I would get 10 points for silver participation to group events, and 15 for gold (group). I went to Domain of Kourna and got 10 points for gold participation to non-group events, and 15 for gold participation to group events. Futeko (talk) 15:38, 13 March 2025 (UTC)

Home Sweet Homestead research[edit]

Heya, since Delsea pointed out in the OWoG Set 1561 that the progression towards Home Sweet Homestead achievements might vary, I got curious to see if there is a common pattern across all the involved maps and event types, or if it is random. While some of the editors already filled in some of the info about the progression of the achievements, I wanted to share my findings and research results. Now, the events that I did were not chosen specifically for the sake of the research and were done randomly, I just documented the progression while having usual gaming sessions. Since thus far we know that event type and players' personal participation matter, I will share the results in this manner:

Map: Event type / Event / Medal / Points

Results:[edit]

Amnytas:

Auric Basin:

Domain of Kourna:

Domain of Vabbi:

Elon Riverlands:

Fractals of the Mists:

  • Daily T4's and Recs / 1 fractal = 1 point

Grothmar Valley:

Jahai Bluffs:

Kryta:

Lake Doric:

New Kaineng City:

Seitung Province:

The Battle for Lion's Arch:

The Desolation:

Conclusion[edit]

Even tho the list is not completed yet, as you may notice there is some pattern, that mostly is already documented on the main page, but then it doesn't apply to every single map and every single event type. For example, doing T1 Rift in Amnytas and getting bronze medal still gave me 10 progression points, meanwhile Jahai Bluffs gave me 3 points, and gold participation gave me 10 points each. Some dynamic events may give 15 points (which according to the pattern it should be a group event to get 15+) and vice versa — some group events gave me 10 points. Special "objective" on gold participation gave me 30 points (but thus far managed to do only the one in Kourna), and some meta events gave me 25 on gold participation for the final chain event, even though they are not a special objective of the achievement (Octovine). Meanwhile other final chain events of the map meta's gave 15 or even 10 while getting the gold medal.

Now I'm not sure if it is meant to be this way or if something is bugged, but I guess we only can confirm such if more people are willing to document their progress while doing the events. I also might update the list in the future as I go, and it would be nice to see if other people get the same results, and/or find something new in the "pattern". ฅ𓂃𓏧♡ vyѕɴɑιтε ᨐᵉᵒʷฅ (тɑʟκ) 15:51, 24 March 2025 (UTC)

Added more progress to the list. An interesting notice would be the Doppelganger event in the Elon Riverlands. Its pre-event gave me 10 points for the gold participation and 15 points for the actual boss event, the thing is that both events are classified as "dynamic". The other thing that now is even more questionable is that I did the Maws meta in The Desolation once again, and this time the last boss gave me 15 points on gold participation instead of 10 (like the previous time). I'm sure I got gold twice, and both times, I was fully focused on DPSing the boss. I wonder what caused this difference. ฅ𓂃𓏧♡ vyѕɴɑιтε ᨐᵉᵒʷฅ (тɑʟκ) 12:48, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
Added more data. It seems like this time I didn't encounter any anomalies regarding the participation and given progression points. The "last attempt" to kill the last boss of Maws meta in The Desolation gave me 10 points for the silver medal (as it "should"), so basically it still doesn't solve the question of why one of the times I got 10 with the gold medal. Also, it seems like repeatable HPs also count for progress and they are classified as dynamic events. The same applies, obviously, to the bounties in PoF/LWS4 maps — but killing either Champion or Legendary bounties doesn't make a difference, and they will give the same amount of points as per group event. ฅ𓂃𓏧♡ vyѕɴɑιтε ᨐᵉᵒʷฅ (тɑʟκ) 13:48, 13 April 2025 (UTC)

Home Sweet Homestead: Concert for the Ages "secondary unlock"[edit]

Not sure how else to describe it... I recently re-ran A Concert for the Ages and noticed that in addition to the recipe, there are now some cool Metal Legion posters in the workshop area (on the back wall directly behind the handiworker crafting station) -- I am fairly certain those weren't there before, could someone confirm? If that's indeed the case, I feel like it should be mentioned in the article as an additional side effect of the achievement. --Solly (talk) 03:01, 26 August 2025 (UTC)

Hey, no, it's not related to the achievement, and the posters have been there since the beginning. You can find more info in its PoI page — The Workshop. ฅ𓂃𓏧♡ vyѕɴɑιтε ᨐᵉᵒʷฅ (тɑʟκ) 10:06, 26 August 2025 (UTC)
