Trials of the Tengu is a jumping puzzle covering the Jaya Bluffs area of Seitung Province.
Getting there[edit]
Head east from 
Monastery Waypoint — or Northwest from Village Waypoint — , then north to the 
Shrine of Reverence — .
- The trial is located to the west of the POI. On top of a platform you will find the Tengu NPC called Groundskeeper Tora, take the torch from the fire to start the trial.

- Introduction and notes
- The Jumping Puzzle involves lighting your torch at the brazier and carrying that flame to multiple other braziers via gliding. Mounting up or equipping a toolkit or pack (like the White Mantle Portal Device) will also put out your flame.
- Each lit brazier is a new checkpoint you may return to to relight the torch. They do not need to be done in order, but it is the fastest way to complete the jumping puzzle. Mounts may be used to get back to braziers after mistakes are made.
- All braziers must be lit to open the chest and obtain the achievement. There are five braziers in total, including the one at the final chest. The effect
 Trials Bonfire Lit shows how many bonfires have been lit.
- There are several spawn points for Jade Tech Chests along the way. Looting those do not extinguish the torch and can be picked up along the way.
- The gliding skill unlocked by the Gliding Booster mastery does not extinguish the torch and trivializes this jumping puzzle.
- The path is a series of planks and ropes.
- The end point is above Sensali Shrine.
- Route
- Brazier 1: Climb the boards just to the side of the initial brazier until you reach a small platform. You will see the first brazier in the distance. Glide straight to it.
- Brazier 2: Go up the planks just to the south and jump onto the rock face (just face it directly and there is a slight dip). Continue to follow the path. There is a second rope that may be hard to see in the dark. See the gallery below for an example. Follow the path up until you reach another wooden platform with the second brazier seen in the distance. Glide straight to brazier 2.
- Brazier 3: Follow the winding planks up the rock outcropping until they end. You may glide straight to brazier four, but going to three first is an easier and a quicker route. To do so, glide southward to a wooden platform. Take the planks upwards and continue a bit west until you see another wooden platform. The third brazier is visible ahead. Glide straight to it.
- Brazier 4: Glide north-ish to the plateau and run up the rocks to the northwest. The fourth brazier is visible just up ahead. Glide across the small gap to brazier 4.
- Brazier 5: Glide or jump north and continue running until you get to conveniently laid planks letting you run up to your left. Run and jump up a handful more of wood planks to the last wooden platform. Glide to brazier 5 on top of the shrine straight across the gap.
- Treasure: Light brazier 5 and collect the treasure chest. The achievement and the mastery point are rewarded upon looting the final chest.
- Shortcuts: There are multiple shortcuts by using the Jade Bot Gliding Booster skill. See the gallery below for 3 examples. More shortcuts may be possible, but these will easily save the most time. Some of these shortcuts require Tier 3 of the Gliding Booster.
