Visions of Eternity Elite Specialization Beta Event[edit]

The elite specialization beta event begins on Wednesday! The event runs from August 20 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7) until August 27 at 10:00 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7). Every Guild Wars 2 account in good standing, including Play for Free accounts, will automatically get character slots marked "Beta" when the beta event begins. Clicking on one of these slots will allow you to create a character using any of the nine Guild Wars 2 professions.

  • Fixed an issue that occasionally prevented players from using spears when the Kodan Spear Training Mastery was complete. If the Mastery has been trained but the achievement is not unlocked, visiting Lowland Shore will unlock the achievement.

World vs. World[edit]

  • Fixed an issue that prevented the Looking for Group tool from working with World Restructuring.
  • Fixed an issue that caused dredge mercenaries in Eternal Battlegrounds to teleport back to their start location if distracted while running to a camp.
  • Removed map markers from trebuchets to remove clutter from the map and keep siege equipment consistent.
  • Updated the ability sort order so that similar abilities are now grouped together.
  • Updated War Score to be visually consistent across more UI elements.
  • Moved the Obsidian Sanctum map label so it does not overlap with the Eternal Battlegrounds objectives.
  • Currencies provided by skirmish reward boxes will now be automatically consumed on purchase.

Profession Skills[edit]

General[edit]

  • The responsiveness of player-controlled allies, such as ranger pets and mechanist jade mechs, has been improved. Player-initiated pet abilities will now interrupt pet-initiated pet abilities and be cast immediately. Player-initiated pet abilities cannot be interrupted by other player-initiated pet abilities. Both player-initiated and pet-initiated pet abilities can still be interrupted via the Return to Me command.
  • Relic of Mistburn.png Relic of Mistburn: Reduced the additional critical strike chance from 10% to 5% in WvW and PvP.

Elementalist[edit]

  • Stone Heart.png Stone Heart: Reduced the duration on entering from 4 seconds to 2.5 seconds in PvP only.

Mesmer[edit]

  • Bountiful Disillusionment.png Bountiful Disillusionment: This trait now grants regeneration instead of stability with profession skill 4 and stability instead of resistance with profession skill 5.
Mirage[edit]
  • Imaginary Axes.png Imaginary Axes: Reduced the player torment duration from 6 seconds to 3.5 seconds and increased the clone torment duration from 3.5 seconds to 6 seconds in PvE only.
  • Nomad's Endurance.png Nomad's Endurance: Reduced the strike-damage bonus from 10% to 5% in PvP only.
  • Phantom Pain.png Phantom Pain: Reduced the strike-damage bonus per stack from 3% to 2.5% in PvP only.
  • Dune Cloak.png Dune Cloak: Reduced the shatter recharge reduction from 2 seconds to 1 second in PvE and from 1.5 seconds to 0.5 seconds in PvP only. Increased the required clones from 2 to 3 in PvE only.

Necromancer[edit]

  • Mark of Blood.png Mark of Blood: Reduced the regeneration duration from 6 seconds to 4 seconds in PvP only.
  • Mark of Blood.png Lesser Mark of Blood: Reduced the regeneration duration from 5 seconds to 3 seconds in PvP only.
  • Transfusion.png Transfusion: This trait now creates a Lesser Chilblains instead of a full-strength Chilblains. Reduced the protection applied by Chilblains from 3 seconds to 2 seconds, reduced the number of conditions removed by Putrid Mark from 3 to 2, and lowered the stability applied by Reaper's Mark from 3 stacks for 4 seconds to 1 stack for 3 seconds in PvP only.
  • Chillblains.png Lesser Chilblains: Reduced the power coefficient from 0.55 to 0.25, reduced the chill duration from 4 seconds to 2 seconds, reduced the poison duration from 8 seconds to 4 seconds, reduced the base healing from 822 to 662, and reduced the healing power scaling from 0.5 to 0.3 in PvP only.
Scourge[edit]
  • Sand Cascade.png Sand Cascade: Increased the cooldown from 12 seconds to 18 seconds in PvP only.
  • Garish Pillar.png Garish Pillar: Increased the cooldown from 20 seconds to 30 seconds in PvP only.
  • Sandstorm Shroud.png Sandstorm Shroud: Increased the cooldown from 30 seconds to 35 seconds in PvP only. This skill no longer applies protection in PvP.

Ranger[edit]

  • Long Range Shot.png Long Range Shot: Increased the minimum power coefficient from 1.1 to 1.33 and the maximum power coefficient from 1.25 to 1.5 in PvE only.
  • Rapid Fire.png Rapid Fire: Reduced the cooldown from 10 seconds to 8 seconds and increased the power coefficient per hit from 0.45 to 0.6 in PvE only.

Revenant[edit]

  • Roiling Mists.png Roiling Mists: Reduced the critical strike damage healing from 10% to 5% in PvP only.
Herald[edit]
  • Chaotic Release.png Chaotic Release: Increased the cooldown from 35 seconds to 45 seconds in PvP only.
  • One with Nature.png True Nature (Dragon): Reduced the number of conditions removed from 3 to 2 in PvP only.
  • Elevated Compassion.png Elevated Compassion: Fixed an issue that could cause this trait to activate while below the upkeep threshold.
Renegade[edit]
  • Icerazor's Ire.png Icerazor's Ire: Reduced the power coefficient per hit from 0.8 to 0.67 in PvP only.
  • Soulcleave's Summit.png Soulcleave's Summit: Reduced the healing from using another Legendary Renegade skill from 1,439 to 1,199 in PvP only.
  • All for One.png All for One: Reduced the protection duration from 3 seconds to 2 seconds in PvP only.
  • Vindication.png Vindication: Reduced the healing from outgoing damage per stack from 2% to 1% in PvP only.

High atop the Labyrinthine Cliffs, our Zephyrite friends have been working in tandem with Lion's Arch to host an incredible variety of fun vendors and events to entertain visitors from all across Tyria. This celebration of unity and peace between our cultures is more important than ever before, and we hope that you will join us in the festivities.

In this spirit of cooperation, Queen Jennah has personally overseen the reopening of the Crown Pavilion, featuring a variety of challenges for Tyria's finest to test their mettle!

Transportation to the festivities couldn't be easier! Special hot-air balloons are now stationed in each nation's capital city. Visitors can also sail directly from the ship from Lion's Arch.

We look forward to seeing you at the festival!

  • A new annual achievement for participating in the Labyrinthine Skiffs racecourse has been added.
  • Annual achievements for race event and adventure participation have been standardized to give extra credit for completing their event versions.
  • Added a tracking event that displays the time until the treasure hunt and other map-wide events start in Labyrinthine Cliffs.
    • The preparation timer before the treasure hunt begins has been lowered, since the time until it begins is now more visible ahead of the start time.
  • The Boss Blitz meta-event now displays the health of all bosses in the Crown Pavilion to allow easier coordination.
  • Updated trade prices at the Bazaar of the Four Winds.
  • Special objectives are available in the Wizard's Vault to earn extra astral acclaim as you enjoy the festival.
  • Various issues have been fixed to ensure a safer and more pleasant festival for all participants.

The Festival of the Four Winds will be available for three weeks, from August 5 to August 26. Enjoy the festivities!
