Dialogue[edit]

Before completion
The machine beeps and boops as you poke it. It seems to be some kind of decision-making machine.
Talk more option tango.png Continue.
It's trying to learn what would be "proper" responses to various situations. There is plenty of room to meddle by feeding it wacky answers.
Talk more option tango.png I do enjoy meddling with the Inquest...
An experiment has gone wrong, and experimental flesh golems are destroying your lab! What do you do?
Talk more option tango.png Help to corral them before they break out.
You are taking an unauthorized break and your supervisor comes by to check on you. What do you do?
Talk more option tango.png Quickly get back to work.
Excelsior! You've successfully completed a difficult, unrepeatable experiment! What do you do?
Talk more option tango.png Report my findings diligently.
Calculating results...
Talk more option tango.png Continue.
(If less than three chaotic responses have been given)
Your answers have been noted. "Semihelpful lab technician" module learned.
Talk back option tango.png Wait, that isn't what I wanted. Let's try again. (Returns to "It's trying to learn what would be...")
(If the second or third option in any combination was selected three times beforehand, completing the hero challenge)
Your answers have been noted. "Chaos" module learned.
Talk end option tango.png Meddling is so satisfying.
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk more option tango.png Believe it or not, EVEN MORE FIRE! (Same as "Report my findings diligently.")
Talk more option tango.png Smash it to bits, never to be replicated again. (Same as "Report my findings diligently.")
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk more option tango.png More fire! (Same as "Quickly get back to work.")
Talk more option tango.png Break all of my experiments and blame my coworker. (same as "Quickly get back to work.")
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk more option tango.png Fire. (Same as "Help to corral them before they break out.")
Talk more option tango.png Let them break out. Chaos! (Same as "Help to corral them before they break out.")
(If necromancer)
Talk more option tango.png Flesh golems? New friends! (Necromancer) (completes the hero challenge)
UNSANITIZED DETECTED. EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED. ERROR ERRO— (static)
Talk end option tango.png That seems bad. For them.
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
Talk end option tango.png Leave.
After completion
The machine beeps and boops as you poke it. It seems to be some kind of decision-making machine.
Talk more option tango.png Could always give it more bad data... (Same as "Continue." above)
Talk end option tango.png Leave.

Notes[edit]

  • The three required chaotic answers is cumulative; if the first option is selected once/twice, the next iteration requires the second/third option to be selected fewer times.
