Mist Surges are wind tunnels created by pockets of Mists energy, found through Mistburned Barrens. When entered on a mount or glider, they will launch a player into the air.
Mechanics[edit]
In Mistburned Barrens[edit]
- When riding a griffon, skyscale, or warclaw into a Mist Surge, their endurance will be replenished, and if the Rising Spirits mastery has been trained, the griffon and skyscale will receive Rising Spirits.
- When riding a raptor, springer, skimmer, jackal, rollerbeetle or siege turtle, the player will be launched into the air and then dismounted.
In Bava Nisos[edit]
- When riding a griffon, skyscale, or warclaw into a Mist Surge, the effects will be the same as in Mistburned Barrens.
- When riding a raptor, springer, skimmer, jackal, or rollerbeetle, the mount will be launched into the air in the same way it would work when gliding. The skimmer and jackal being the only ones able to use their movement skills in the air, the other mounts will have very little to do to prevent falling back down though.
- When riding a siege turtle, the mount will be launched into the air as well. This can force the turtle to go over its height cap. If it happens, the Jump Jets will be ineffective until the turtle has fallen back under its height cap. Pressing them will have no effect other than depleting the mount's endurance.
Related masteries[edit]
- Rising Spirits: Applies Rising Spirits while riding a griffon or skyscale, increasing the mount's endurance regeneration for 5 seconds.

Dialogue[edit]
- In the Alliance Staging Ground
- A surge of energy is being created at this spot. The warclaw cub seems to be having fun leaping through it.
- These might be useful for getting around...
Notes[edit]
Mounts that are allowed to use a Mist Surge can stay on top of it, bouncing forever on the updraft.
