/Resign is a chat command used in instanced group content to cause your character to immediately die.

Aliases[edit]

It is best known as /gg[1], abbreviated from "good game", a common phrase used as a virtual handshake at the end of a match or instance.

It can also be invoked through other commands:

  • /ff — abbreviated from forfeit
  • /qq — multiple meanings related to quitting, crying (QQ), "quit crying", a snide remark used in multiplayer games
  • Various localized commands:
    • English: /surrender /concede /forfeit /resign
    • Spanish: /rendirse /renunciar /capitular
    • German: /kapitulieren /resignieren /ergeben /aufgeben
    • French: /capituler /abandonner /renoncer /concéder

Mechanics[edit]

  • The command will immediately kill the player's character.
  • Skill recharges are reset.
  • There is a hidden 5 second cooldown.

Usage[edit]

  • It allows groups to concede faster, instead of waiting for the enemy to slowly finish off each player.
  • It can be used to quickly reach forward checkpoints unlocked by party members when lagging behind.
    • Players will often exclaim "./gg" upon reaching a checkpoint, to tell party members they can get teleported.

Usable in[edit]

Notes[edit]

  • Using the command in invalid locations will show the message Usable only in raids or fractals.
