Walkthrough[edit]
Destroy the Inquest Excavators[edit]
When the meta starts, three Inquest Excavators will appear in the North, East, and South of Cloister of Stars.
- All three excavators must be destroyed at the same time to progress the meta event.
- In order to damage the excavators, players must be standing in the rotating blue field, indicated by arrow markers because the excavators are Phase-Shifted.
- Periodically, the excavator will become invulnerable:
- At 75%, the excavator becomes Shielded, several Mark IX Centurion Golems and SERVs will protect the Excavator. When they are defeated, the excavator becomes vulnerable again.
- At 50%, the excavator becomes Shielded, a defiance bar must be broken with crowd control effects. When the bar is broken, the excavator becomes vulnerable again, but will also gain additional abilities, including a pulsing shockwave, a tornado effect, and Magneton Destabilizers.
- At 25%, the excavator becomes Shielded again, Champion Mark IX Centurion Golem will spawn to protect the excavator. When the golem is defeated, the excavator becomes vulnerable again and can finally be destroyed.
- When an excavator is destroyed, a 30 second timer will begin. The other two excavators must be destroyed within this time limit. Otherwise, it will repair itself.
Gwyllian, Seneschal of the Forest[edit]
- Primary article: Gwyllian, Seneschal of the Forest
After destroying all three excavators, you will have 20 minutes to defeat Gwyllian, Seneschal of the Forest at the center of Consecrated Piazza — .
Gwyllian has two key mechanics:
- Bunny tranformation and orb collection — Occurs at 82/57/32/12% health
- Random players will be inflicted with Something Feels Funny....
- Upon expiry, those players will get the You've been turned into a bunny! effect and transform into a bunny.
- Bunnies must jump to collect floating orbs in the air.
- Once enough orbs are collected, the boss will receive a defiance bar that must be broken to continue the fight.
- Dispel illusions with crowd control — Occurs at 75/25% health
- Gwyllian raises the boss arena and summons mini Gwyldell illusions on it and the surrounding floating islands.
- Most of these illusions are distractions and killing them will have no effect.
- The only illusions that need to be dealt with are those with defiance bars. However, they should be CC'd and NOT killed.
- Progress toward the fight is only awarded for successfully breaking a defiance bar. None is awarded for killing them.
- One reliable way to handle this mechanic is using the Warclaw mount:
- Chain Pull — 150 defiance
- Lance — 125 defiance
50% Inquest Phase[edit]
When Gwyllian reaches 50% health, three champion Inquest will spawn at the site of each destroyed excavator from Phase 1:
- North: Champion Biomancer Plezzi
- East: Champion Golemancer Graxx
- South: Champion Electromancer Dribb
These champion enemies must be defeated at the same time. Similarly to before, defeating one champion enemy will start a 30 second timer. The other two bosses must be defeated in this window, or else they will revive.
Final Phase and Loot[edit]
After defeating the Inquest, the fight resumes with no new mechanics.
At 25% health, Gwyllian raises the platform once more and the illusion event repeats.
After defeating Gwyllian, a Magnificent Chest (auto-loot) will appear under the boss arena as it lowers to the ground. Once it reaches the bottom, an additional six smaller Seneschal's Chests will spawn.

Dialogue[edit]
- 5 minutes before event begins
- Rytlock Brimstone: The Inquest have focused their digging around here. Any idea why?
- PTM: Initial surveys marked this as a high-priority dig site due to the presence of anomalous signals.
- PTM: That's all the data available, however.
- Canach: "Anomalous signals" should really serve as a warning, not an invitation.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Whatever they're digging for, we're going to stop them. Let's get to it.
- 2 minutes before event begins
- PTM: Best for you to wait here, Zeke. The battlefield is much too dangerous.
- Event begins
- Rytlock Brimstone: Let's split up and assault all three locations at once. We won't give them any time to consolidate their forces.
- Canach: I'm beginning to think you're experienced with this sort of thing, Tribune.
- Principal Biomancer Sebb: I will tolerate no more delays! Commence the operation.
- Principal Biomancer Sebb: We are paving the pathway to a greater future.
- Principal Biomancer Sebb: Do not fail me.
- North excavation device
- Canach: It appears we've stirred up the hive.[verification requested]
- The excavation device is being shielded by the Inquest golems.
- The excavation device is vulnerable.
- Canach: Ah, breaking things. This is more your speed, eh?
- The Inquest have sent their strongest reinforcements.
- Canach: Oh, please, don't be the spinning one, for once.
- The excavation device is vulnerable.
- Canach: Nearly done here. Put your backs into it!
- The north excavation device has been secured.
- East excavation device
- Rytlock Brimstone: They're scrambling to shield it. Wipe them out.
- The excavation device is being shielded by the Inquest golems.
- The excavation device is vulnerable.
- Rytlock Brimstone: That's the last of them for now.
- Principal Biomancer Sebb: They are attacking our equipment, you incompetent worms!
- Principal Biomancer Sebb: Do you think your weapons are just part of your uniform? Are the golems for decoration?
- Principal Biomancer Sebb: If your miserable flesh is in need of an upgrade, I will be happy to oblige.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Somebody shut that damn thing off.
- The Inquest have sent their strongest reinforcements.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Destroy the big one so we can finish this.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Looks like they're trying to protect it. Get rid of them.[verification requested]
- The excavation device is vulnerable.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Almost done. Keep hitting it!
- The east excavation device has been secured.
- South excavation device
- One of the following:
- PTM: They do not seem to be in agreement with our plan. Did we consult with them about it?
- The excavation device is being shielded by the Inquest golems.
- The excavation device is vulnerable.
- PTM: At least we can continue with our objective.
- PTM: Excuse me, engineers, but you are blocking our access to the device.
- The excavation device is being shielded by the Inquest golems.
- The excavation device is vulnerable.
- PTM: How strange. I don't think they recognized me.
- PTM: Oh, hello, SPIN! I did not expect to see you here.
- The Inquest have sent their strongest reinforcements.
- PTM: He doesn't seem to want to talk right now.
- The excavation device is vulnerable.
- PTM: Poor SPIN. I don't think he was in a very good mood.
- The south excavation device has been secured.
- All devices secured
- PTM: The devices are now fully disabled.
- Rytlock Brimstone: All right, let's regroup in the courtyard and figure out our next steps.
- Canach: Surely this isn't the end of our surprises for the day.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Their equipment has been wrecked, but we still don't know what they were trying to do.
- PTM: I'm detecting anomalous magical readings in this area.
- Canach: They weren't just digging here. Those devices seemed to be trying to draw something out. But what?
- PTM: The readings are getting noticeably larger.
- Canach: What exactly is that?
- PTM: Magical readings bear a similarity to those emitted by the seneschal Kela.
- Fight begins
- Subdue Gwyllian, Seneschal of the Forest
- Canach: Why would the Inquest want to summon this?
- Rytlock Brimstone: I have a guess. Sebb wants to control it.
- Canach: Well, I'm certainly opposed to that plan.
- Gwyllian using Sky Dance (one of the following)
-
- Canach: Oh, come on now, do hold still.
- Rytlock Brimstone: It's moving!
- PTM: It's repositioning. A clever tactic.
- Gwyllian targeting the player with Something Feels Funny... (one of the following)
-
- Rytlock Brimstone[sic]: It's got its eye on you.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Watch out, it's targeting you with something!
- PTM: I am concerned about the unusual magic swirling around you.
- Gwyillian opening portals (one of the following)
- Rytlock Brimstone[sic]: I wouldn't get too close to those gates, if I were you!
- Rytlock Brimstone: Stay away from the gates!
- PTM: Walking into unknown entryways is likely to significantly decrease life expectancy.
- Gwyllian raising the ground initially
- Gwyllian is raising the ground.
- Canach: Where did it go?
- PTM: Hm. Unclear. We appear to be moving, however.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Stay alert! We're not done yet.
- Gwyll illusions appearing
- PTM: It brought friends.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Illusions, just like the ones in the forest. We need to find the real one!
- Returning to excavation devices
- Sebb is launching a counterattack as Gwyllian shields itself.
- PTM: I detect more Inquest forces arriving below. Perhaps they intend to assist us?
- Canach: I wouldn't count on it. Best we dispatch them before they can implement their plan.
- North excavation device
- Champion Biomancer Plezzi: Sebb could do such impressive things with you. You're wasting your potential.
- East excavation device
- Champion Golemancer Graxx: This will be the perfect test of my new modifications.
- Champion Golemancer Graxx: Hm. It seems some additional adjustments may be required.
- Champion Golemancer Graxx: Your resistance changes nothing! New functions will replace the old.
- South excavation device
- Champion Electromancer Dribb: Some petty defiance? No matter. I've dealt with your kind before.
- Champion Electromancer Dribb: Fight back all you want, but your foundations are already undermined. Your collapse is inevitable.
- All devices resecured
- Principal Biomancer Sebb: You have accomplished nothing here. Experimental efforts continue in every field of study.
- Principal Biomancer Sebb: You dare to dream that you've destroyed my work? You've knocked over a single test tube. This changes nothing.
- Gwyllian raising the ground a second time
- Gwyllian is raising the ground.
- Canach: This old trick again, eh?
- PTM: Perhaps I could adapt this technique to my own systems.
- Event success
- Gwyllian is returning to its slumber.
- Canach: It seems we have lulled it back to sleep.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Good enough. It puts a stop to the Inquest's immediate plans, at least.
- PTM: I am pleased to have been able to assist you.
- Canach: Now...how do you suppose we're going to get down from here?
- (central platform begins to descend)
- Canach: Now, you see, this is why I always say, "A timely complaint solves all problems."
- Rytlock Brimstone: Don't think it counts if you're always complaining.
- PTM: An interesting premise. Perhaps I could create a function that would register a complaint on every cycle.
- Canach: A man after my own heart.
- (central platform continues to descend underground)
- PTM: This is most unexpected.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Beginning to think you're bad luck, Canach.
- Canach: I've known that for years, my friend.
- Canach: So...thoughts?
- PTM: There is a nearby waypoint that I can connect to, if that would be preferable to waiting.
- Rytlock Brimstone: Never thought I'd meet a golem I liked.
- Canach: I would say that's a vote in favor, my dear PTM. Let us away, then.
- Rytlock Brimstone: It's subdued, for now. Sebb won't stop trying, but we've bought some time.
- Indeed. I wonder where the seneschal went.
- Canach: You're going to go looking for it, aren't you? I swear, Commander, you and this preoccupation with staring death in the face. It's not good for your health.
- Few things are.
- I'll count that as a win.
- Event failure
- Rytlock Brimstone: This is getting us nowhere. We need to fall back until we have reinforcements.
