First step
Hello, Commander. What can this humble archivist help you with?
Talk collection option.png I'm here to investigate the falling star.
Splendid, I've been waiting for help. I've been working to triangulate the meteor's location and have narrowed it to this region.
Talk more option tango.png How can I help?
As our premier diplomatic envoy in the region, I'd like you to interview local kodan scouts. Based on their information, if you can find the "fallen star," then please follow the lead immediately.
Talk collection option.png All right, I'll find out what the scouts have seen.
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
Subsequent interactions
Hello, Commander. What can this humble archivist help you with?
Talk collection option.png I found the meteor embedded in the seafloor, but I couldn't pull it free. (After finding the Unknown Object)
The rock is melted around it? And the meteor still retained its shape...how fascinating. Well then, we simply need to reheat it to a high enough temperature to loosen its bonds.
Talk more option tango.png I take it you have some magical relic for that?
Unleashing one treasure to secure another would have us running in circles. For this, we can rely on allies of the ward to make us a new tool.
Talk more option tango.png What do you have in mind?
I'll arrange an introduction with Morgaah Bloodseeker, the master armorer of the Black Citadel. He's not one of us, but an ally we can work with—his mastery of heat is what we'll need.
Talk more option tango.png All right, I'll pay him a visit.
Splendid. Tell him it's about "the meteor-iron order." I expect he'll need some odds and ends as power sources; while you're there, I'll return to the tower and pick up a few small things.
Talk collection option.png Got it. I'll see you later then.
Talk collection option.png I have the meteor spear! (After obtaining the Falling Star)
Magnificently done. I see no need to seal that artifact in the vault; I'll make note of its characteristics for Vivienne's bookkeeping, and you can put it to use in your main line of work.
Talk collection option.png I'll make sure it's safe. Thanks for the help.
Talk more option tango.png So, you're a member of the Wizard's Vault?
The Astral Ward, really—tending the vault is simply a role within it. But yes, I'm focused on investigation and recovery. To maintain a low profile, that happens through cooperators like yourself.
Talk back option tango.png I don't mind a bit of collaboration on treasure hunting.
Talk more option tango.png Can I really keep what I recover on this investigation?
As long as it's not too dangerous, according to the grand archivist. The vault isn't just about hoarding relics—we also put them in the right hands at the right time.
Talk back option tango.png I'm lucky to be on your good side, then.
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.

Primary article: The Wayward Wisp: Vault Dispatch
First step
Hello, Wayfinder. What can this humble archivist help you with?
Talk collection option.png I'm here to investigate the wayward wisp.
Delightful! Your help would be much appreciated. My initial observations suggest our wandering wisp is manifesting regularly within this region.
Talk more option tango.png How can I help?
Scouting parties have reported seeing the wisp after battle... It seems it may be drawn to interesting events. Perhaps a bit of heroism in the area on your part may pique its curiosity?
Talk collection option.png I'll do my best to draw it forth.
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
Talk more option tango.png It looks like the ongoing survey could use a hand! Are you free to help?
If it looks like our people are too endangered, I'll use a few methods to get them to safety. But isn't this small crisis also a good chance for you to catch attention from our wisp target?
Talk back option tango.png Right. I'll see what I can do.
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.

Hello, Wayfinder. What can this humble archivist help you with?
Talk more option tango.png So, you're a member of the Wizard's Vault? (Same as above)

Mists Vault[edit]

Commander, how nice to see you. Welcome to the Mists Vault, the innermost—or perhaps outermost—storage of the Wizard's Vault.
Talk more option tango.png Could you tell me more about where we are?
Most treasures that the Wizard's Vault safeguards are held within the tower. For those with a certain prominence, danger, or conceptual risk, the wizards devised this alternative, tucked in the Mists.
Talk more option tango.png So this is like a fractal?
Very astute. Yes, it's much the same as a simulated fractal. However, we're not recreating anything—simply maintaining a small pocket of order amidst chaos. It's an elegantly secure method.
Talk back option tango.png Interesting. I have another question.
Certainly. What else would you like to talk about?
Talk more option tango.png Could you tell me more about where we are?
Talk more option tango.png Is this place more secure than the Wizard's Tower?
Talk more option tango.png I'm surprised to see you out of the field.
Talk end option tango.png That's all for now, thank you.
Talk end option tango.png Well, if there's no rifts, it's safer than Tyria.
Talk more option tango.png Is this place more secure than the Wizard's Tower?
In its way. The roads in are tightly defined, which makes intrusion all but impossible. And if it were to come to it, simply releasing the ongoing sorceries of this location would bring it to an end.
Talk more option tango.png An end?
Without spells, observation, and fuel, such a small space can't stay established. It would quickly dissolve into a ripple in the Mists, taking all dangerous artifacts—and potential intruders—with it.
Talk back option tango.png Interesting. I have another question.
Talk end option tango.png That's quite the active defense.
Talk more option tango.png I'm surprised to see you out of the field.
I can't be out and about all the time. This spot is quite relaxing... Call it a perk of the job.
Talk collection option.png I agree. I'm on business, but can I drop in occasionally? (Before completing Mists Vault: Visitor's Pass)
Normally, no. But as a legendary defender of the tower, you're already on the guest list. Here... A passkey spell, courtesy of the wizards themselves.
Talk end option tango.png Thank you!
Talk back option tango.png Interesting. I have another question.
Talk end option tango.png It certainly is calming, in its own way.
Talk end option tango.png A pleasure, as always.

Shipwreck Strand[edit]

Primary article: Castoran Coral: Vault Dispatch
Hello, Wayfinder. What can this humble archivist help you with?
Talk collection option.png I'm here to investigate the Castoran Coral. (After purchasing the Coral Heart Quest License)
Your help would be much appreciated. Technically, I'm afraid I'm meant to be on vacation. Inquest activity has spiked around the undersea coral, and in its wake, the reefs are beginning to wither.
Talk more option tango.png How can I help?
Start with some triangulation. Help the alliance across the island, and our vault scouts will collate the information to track down an originating source for this disturbance.
Talk collection option.png Okay, I'll see what I can dig up.
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
Talk collection option.png I've raised and solved some trouble. How's the triangulation? (After completing Castoran Coral: Inquest Investigations)
As ever, your talents are appreciated. We've been able to establish the pattern of decay and determine the general area where it began.
Talk more option tango.png The origin point of the withering effect?
Correct. I suspect the Inquest tampered with something best left alone. I'll mark the spot on your map—give it a thorough check with your skimmer's keen sense.
Talk collection option.png If I find anything, I'll follow up on it. Wish me luck.
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
Talk collection option.png The Inquest had excavated some sort of core from the reef. I got it back. (After finding the Castoran Coral Heart in the Inquest lab)
It looks to be in poor condition... I doubt we can simply return it to its original reef and hope for the best.
Talk more option tango.png Any ideas for healing it?
I believe these reefs are an organic component of the island's magical defense network. If you return this node to the heart of that network, it could be reinvigorated.
Talk collection option.png I've seen a font of seer energy deeper inland. Let's give it a try.
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
Talk collection option.png I renewed the coral heart and returned it home. It left me with these. (After completing step 10 of Castoran Coral: Vault Dispatch)
Well done! My colleagues have already reported evidence of healing. Vivienne has classified the organic network as a guarded danger, but your items seem inert... I'll amend their classification.
Talk more option tango.png I'm just glad we were able to stop the Inquest before this got out of control.
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
Talk more option tango.png What's the story with these reefs?
According to our initial findings, a subspecies of coral here in Castora has remarkable magical emanations. It may even be a contributor to the island's secrecy; a living warding spell, if you will.
Talk more option tango.png I had another question.
Talk end option tango.png Fascinating; let's hope we can keep it protected in turn.
Talk more option tango.png The scientists at the facility I uncovered met a grisly fate from this. (After completing Castoran Coral: Inquest Investigations)
The Inquest's haste, ambition, and lack of deeper wisdom seemed to leave them unprepared for predictable consequences. Preventing such misuse of relics is at the heart of the Wizard's Vault.
Talk more option tango.png I had another question.
Talk end option tango.png They certainly can't be allowed to weaponize this.
Talk more option tango.png You seem pretty relaxed.
Well, Castora has been a bit "all hands on deck," so I was recalled from time off. Still, I have to set a good example by not overworking. So I am projecting relaxation in between information analysis.
Talk more option tango.png I had another question.
Talk end option tango.png Well, let's get this crisis resolved and get back to vacation.
Talk end option tango.png Good-bye.
