Walkthrough[edit]
Fight the Jade Armor until instructed to seek higher ground before the agony flood, then retreat until the flood passes. Rhianwyn and Alya will cast updrafts to assist retreating unless they are focusing on fighting instead of casting magic. Both the Jade Armor and Yagon will periodically inflict the player with spectral agony that must be removed by using the special action key popup. Once Jade Armor is defeated, Yagon will stop summoning Agony Flood and will be available to fight. After some time Jade Armor will revive with half of it's previous maximum health, while Yagon will start casting Agony Flood again and become invulnerable. Defeat Yagon to finish event.

Dialogue[edit]
- Rhianwyn Upon Arriving at the Basin
- Head Researcher Rhianwyn: Somethings's wrong. There is...another will contesting my own. Something ancient. Something ...laughing at me?
- Head Researcher Rhianwyn: I can't maintain control. I have to sever my connection to the construct.
- Head Researcher Rhianwyn: Down there, look. They must be the one who took control from me. Agony levels in the basin are dropping. Hmmm.
- Head Researcher Rhianwyn: I sense this is a trap. But our investigation must press on.
- Head Researcher Rhianwyn: Go contend with that menace, Wayfinder. I will devise a way to extract you, should the need arise.
- Alya Upon Arriving at the Basin
- Alya: There is something in the basin. Someone. The laughing I heard earlier. It was coming from them. A being of pure hatred.
- Alya: Perhaps Rhianwyn's binding stirred their ire... Or perhaps it was simply our probing of the valley. We must banish them.
- Alya: They've wrested control of the construct away from Rhianwyn, it seems. And the laughing is far too much for me to bear.
- Alya: The agony in the basin has waned...for now. You must be the one to end this, Wayfinder.
- Alya: I will remain behind and create a method of egress for you, should the agony return.
- Event Start
- Yagon: Ah, welcome. You tread upon hallowed ground...where my creation shattered a people forever.
- Yagon: Come, taste but a sliver of the seers' suffering.
- Yagon: They thrashed at us, with rage and desperation in their hearts, and I gave them sweet oblivion.
- Yagon: Perhaps, as their minds were rent asunder, they realized the folly of their actions. Their hubris.
- Yagon: A fleeting moment of clarity before the end.
- Yagon: A choir of broken souls swelling in despair. Such a lovely sound.
- Agony Flood is 75% Charged
- Head Researcher Rhianwyn: The agony is building. Get out of there! Quickly
- Head Researcher Rhianwyn: She's gathering agony. Leave the basin NOW!
- Alya: The agony crescendos. Vacate the basin!
- Alya: The screams grow louder, Wayfinder. Leave the canyon!
- Agony Flood Fully Charged
- Yagon: Taste oblivion.
- Yagon: More souls for the choir...
- Sometimes upon death
- Yagon: Ah. A new voice for my choir.
- Yagon: (laughs) Welcome to the choir.
- When Rhianwyn or Alya are Distracted Fighting Enemies
- Head Researcher Rhianwyn: Wayfinder, I need assistance! I cannot keep the Mist surge active and fight these creatures off.
- Alya: My magic falters, Wayfinder. Clear away these beasts so I can focus again.
- Rianwyn or Alya are no Longer Distracted Fighting Enemies
- Head Researcher Rhianwyn: My thanks, Wayfinder. I'll conjure the Mist surge again.
- Alya: I will bring back the Mist surge. Use it well.
- Champion Jade Armor is Defeated
- Alya: A momentary crack in her defenses! Attack her now!
- Head Researcher Rhianwyn: She's lost her grip on the construct! Now's your chance! Shift your focus to her!
- Yagon: Ugh! Insolent worms!
- Yagon's Health Drops Below 25%
- Yagon: You can banish me, but not my gift. My gift to this world is eternal.
- Yagon: When all the world is quiet, the choir will continue its everlasting lament.
- One minute before Yagon finishes the ritual
- Head Researcher Rhianwyn: Her ritual is nearly complete, Wayfinder. This entire area will be flooded with agony if we don't stop her!
- Alya: The screaming is too much... The laughing is too much... She has nearly completed her ritual! Hurry!
- Event success
- Head Researcher Rhianwyn: Good riddance. Well done. They valley's agony levels are dropping. We should be able to explore it, for a bit.
- Alya: At last... Relief. The screaming has subsided. The laughing is no more than a whisper on the wind now. Let us explore.
- Event failure
- Head Researcher Rhianwyn: Agony's reflooding the basin! Fall back everyone! Back to camp NOW!
- Alya: It's all too much... I must return to camp.
- One minute after event completion
- Alya: The screaming is starting to dull, finally...I can think again. I doubt even a dozen djinn could protect us down there for so long.
- Head Researcher Rhianwyn: Could we portal the agony to Holding Chamber Four in the bastion?
- Head Researcher Rhianwyn: It's been empty since Akeem died. And it's sealed by a warding spell!
- Alya: It would only be temporary. So long as the source is tied to this valley, the agony will always return.
- Head Researcher Rhianwyn Maybe a permanent portal to Nayos? The Kryptis are immune. It would require a constant ward presence, but might be worth it.
- Alya: Or we just write the valley off. Seal it away and prevent anyone else from coming here.
- Head Researcher Rhianwyn: No. Isgarren gave me a job, and I will not compromise. While it exists, someone somewhere will try to use it again.
- Head Researcher Rhianwyn: We do not leave until every trace is gone.
- 45 seconds before event chain resets
- Alya: I sense the agony gathering once more. We must leave.
- Head Researcher Rhianwyn: The agony is returning. Quickly finish up any business you have down here and clear out.
- Unknown Trigger
- Yagon: I shall find a place in the choir for you, and together, we shall sing so loudly they will hear us in Nayos!
- Yagon: For every one of us they struck down, we reaped dozens. Not so much soldiers in a war as they were insects underfoot.
- Yagon: What did our sacrifice against Zhaitan warrant, for our gifts to be stolen, hm? Where were they when we needed them?
