Power Arms Arms Spellbreaker Spellbreaker is a very strong and straightforward build for instanced content. It's also a great pick for solo gameplay, as it can provide itself with good amounts of the most essential offensive boons: Quickness.png Quickness, Fury.png Fury and Might.png Might. With  Full Counter.png Full Counter, by stacking damage to healing modifiers and maintaining Stability.png Stability on itself, it becomes incredibly survivable while dishing out strong damage.

Full Counter.png Full Counter and Adrenaline Management[edit]

  • Full Counter.png Full Counter is the key mechanic of Spellbreaker, which gives you access to a short-cooldown Block and performs a riposte when you block, dazing enemies.
  • Generally, applying Disables is key to dealing damage on Spellbreaker due to Attacker's Insight Attacker's Insight, which gives you 50 Power.png Power, Precision.png Precision and Ferocity.png Ferocity for each Disable you apply.
  • Your Adrenaline will also be limited to two bars, with each Burst skill consuming only one bar.
  • That means that burst skills are generally weaker compared to core Warrior icon small.png warrior or Berserker icon small.png Berserker, but Spellbreaker compensates that by higher native damage on other skills.

Rotation Flow[edit]

Section Notes
General Stuff
  • Using Arms Arms increases your attack speed by 20% while wielding a weapon in your offhand that can also be used in the mainhand. This includes the following weapons: Sword, Axe, Dagger and Mace. There are lots of viable combinations of those weapons!
  • I don't really like Sword on this, as you need to stow-cancel the burst skill for optimal results. That is technically just one additional button, but the dps gain from using Sword isnt that large anyway.
  • Arms Arms gives an abundance of Critical chance (35% against bosses), making you overcap significantly. This isnt a problem though, and it gives you a great degree of freedom for open world (more on that later).
  • You should always try to anticipate dangerous hits and block them with  Full Counter.png Full Counter. It's not a big deal if you get it wrong sometimes, it gets better with practice.  Full Counter.png Full Counter is a Block, Daze and Evade with a short cooldown!
  • In the rotation, always use the following skills on cooldown:
  1. Breaching Strike.png Breaching Strike to stack up Berserker's Power Berserker's Power,
  2. Kick (warrior utility skill).png Kick (you can do some micromanagement with this for ideal Relic of the Claw.pngRelic of the Claw uptime)
  3. Signet of Fury.png Signet of Fury
  4. Signet of Rage.png Signet of Rage
  • You can use  Aura Slicer.png Aura Slicer to cover ground if needed.
Opener
  • Always precast  Healing Signet.png Healing Signet and  Signet of Rage.png Signet of Rage to generate stacks for Signet Mastery Signet Mastery. You can do this any time, even when out of combat, allowing you to run around with a bunch of stacks permanently.
  • Open with the following skills:
  1. Signet of Fury.png Signet of Fury,
  2. Disrupting Stab.png Disrupting Stab,
  3. Kick (warrior utility skill).png Kick,
  4. Dual Strike.png Dual Strike,
  5. Whirling Axe.png Whirling Axe,
  6. Swap to Dagger and Mace
  • After that, the rotation consists of two sections: Dagger + Mace & Dagger + Axe.
Section 1: Dagger + Mace
  • On the Offhand Mace, use the same skills as before on cooldown, with a priority on the following pattern:
  1. Start with  Crushing Blow.png Crushing Blow,  Tremor.png Tremor (this resets  Crushing Blow.png Crushing Blow) and another  Crushing Blow.png Crushing Blow.
  2. End with a third  Crushing Blow.png Crushing Blow
  3. You can either just camp Dagger + Mace or continue with the full rotation by swapping to Dagger + Axe
Section 2: Dagger + Axe
  • On Dagger + Axe, always open and end with  Dual Strike.png Dual Strike. It's cooldown is slightly longer than weapon swap.
  1. Use  Whirling Axe.png Whirling Axe x1 during a good time window.
  2. Back to Dagger + Mace to repeat from there.
  • With Alacrity.png Alacrity, that creates a fixed loop rotation cycle of the two sections mentioned above with a duration of ~24 seconds .

Gear & Traits[edit]

Important Stats in Hero Panel (descending in Importance):

  1. At least 25% Critical Chance: Fury.png Fury, Pinnacle of Strength Pinnacle of Strength, Attacker's Insight Attacker's Insight, Furious Burst Furious Burst, Deep Strikes Deep Strikes and Unsuspecting Foe Unsuspecting Foe give the remaining 75%.
  2. Due to the sheer abundance of Critical chance supplied by Arms Arms and Strength Strength, you can run a full set of Dragon's armor and still be way over the cap, leading to a negligible damage difference compared to Berserker's, but a good chunk of additional health.
  3. Maximize Ferocity
  4. Maximize Power

Open World Build[edit]

For OW, it can make sense to make a build more forgiving, so that you can sustain on your own.

Increasing General Survivability[edit]

  • We'll stack a bunch of damage to healing modifiers to become basically immortal as long as one keeps attacking:
  1. Relic of Zakiros.pngRelic of Zakiros,
  2. Sun and Moon Style Sun and Moon Style,
  3. Dual Wielding Dual Wielding and
  4. Optional for even more healing: Might Makes Right Might Makes Right paired with Fried Golden Dumpling.pngFried Golden Dumpling.

Mending.png Mending Great short-cooldown heal that also cleanses a lot of conditions.

Signet of Rage.png Signet of Rage Easy coverage of Fury.png Fury, Swiftness.png Swiftness and a few stacks of Might.png Might. Use it on cooldown in combat.

Boon & Vulnerability.png Vulnerability Coverage[edit]

  • Since you can't always rely on other people covering boons for you, it can make sense to adjust your build to provide them for yourself, at least the important ones.
  • And let's face it: playing a build without Quickness.png Quickness feels horrible. Note: Another great side-effect of using Dual Wielding Dual Wielding is that it makes you faster at any time!
  • In terms of gear, change as many larger pieces of gear to Diviner's as you can afford. Shoot for around 40-60% Boon duration, that will allow you to maintain most important boons easily.
  • Exotic Diviner's trinkets are relatively cheap, they cost around each, totaling up to for an Amulet, 2 Rings and 2 Accessories.
Boon & Vulnerability.png Vulnerability Coverage
Boon Sources / Notes
General Notes Using a few larger pieces of Diviner's allows you to maintain all essential boons on yourself.
Quickness.png Quickness With enough Boon duration, using  Dual Strike.png Dual Strike and  Frenzy (warrior skill).png Frenzy on cooldown provides a full uptime.
Might.png Might You cover decent number of stacks via Dagger auto attacks,  Frenzy (warrior skill).png Frenzy, Magebane Tether Magebane Tether, Signet of Might Signet of Might and Signet of Rage Signet of Rage. Optional: Fried Golden Dumpling.pngFried Golden Dumpling when using Might Makes Right Might Makes Right
Fury.png Fury With enough Boon duration,  Signet of Rage.png Signet of Rage and Furious Burst Furious Burst cover a full uptime on Fury.png Fury.
Alacrity.png Alacrity None.
Protection.png Protection Not covered, you can opt to use Guard Counter Guard Counter for some Protection.png Protection, but it's usually not required on this build.
Resolution.png Resolution Not covered.
Vulnerability.png Vulnerability You get some stacks from  Bladestorm.png Bladestorm, but rather unsubstantial.
Jade Tech Offensive Overcharge.png Jade Tech Offensive Overcharge
Jade Tech Defensive Overcharge.png Jade Tech Defensive Overcharge
Jade Protocols give for 150 additional Toughness, Vitality, Condition Damage and Power as well as all boons aside from Stability.png Stability, Resistance.png Resistance and Resolution.png Resolution for 10 seconds on entering combat, once every 30 seconds. They make covering boons on yourself a lot easier!

Dealing with Conditions and Control effects[edit]

Dealing with CC and Conditions (Open World)
Default Skill Notes
Control effects Both  Frenzy (warrior skill).png Frenzy and  Dolyak Signet.png Dolyak Signet are short cooldown Stun breaks.
When paired with Brave Stride Brave Stride,  Aura Slicer.png Aura Slicer and  Breaching Strike.png Breaching Strike will provide a great uptime on Stability.png Stability.
Full Counter.png Full Counter also provides short Stability.png Stability on cast.
Condition cleanses You only have one source of condition cleansing:  Mending.png Mending.
If you need more, you can replace any other signet with  Signet of Stamina.png Signet of Stamina.
