Burst attacks or burst skills are a warrior profession mechanic that expend all built-up adrenaline. Each weapon has one burst skill that improves at three different stages of adrenaline. This improvement can be anything from doing more damage to increasing the duration of its effects; usually only one value is improved. The burst skill does not take a skill slot, being activated with F1 and is located just above the first five weapon skills, and is automatically chosen according to the two-handed weapon equipped or, in case of dual-wielding, the weapon equipped in the main hand.

Bursts carry a few different mechanics aside from standard skills. They can only be activated once the warrior has at least one full stage of adrenaline, which is, aside from using specific skills, only gained while in combat. However, bursts can still be used while not in combat, provided that the warrior has at least one full stage of adrenaline. If a burst attack fails to hit, e.g. due to being blinded or being interrupted while executing the attack, or if the attack simply does not connect with an enemy target in any way (like when used while out of combat) the burst skill will go on its effective recharge time, and all adrenaline will be spent. Most skills only grant any secondary effects if an enemy is hit.

Elite specialization changes[edit]

Core warrior functionality is retained until the first minor trait for the equipped elite specialization is trained.

Refrain. After activation, continually applies boons to allies while removing motivation every interval. This effect lasts until you run out of motivation stacks or another chant is activated. Gain increased effects depending on motivation stacks:
