Text[edit]

Scroll of Memory

You touch the scroll as the words are torn from the page. Your vision fills with a blinding vortex of sand and glass. Shadowy images pass by you as a voice fills your mind.

"Greetings, Miri, daughter of Elka.

We have never met, but perhaps your mother spoke of a wayward friend over these tumultuous centuries, and how she and I last held hands at the gates of Apavim, before the war with the Seers began. Even earlier, as we watched as our kin fell to the undead dragon's blight. Or perhaps not, and these long-held memories of mine are nothing more than outlandish tales to you.

Either way, I shall spare you further rambling. I bring auspicious tidings from the ever-shifting sands of the Crystal Desert. I do so with conviction, out of... fondness for your mother's companionship, despite my loyalties to Josso Essher and Glint.

In the year 272 AE of the Mouvelian calendar, a series of prophetic visions were spoken and transcribed. A decade has passed, and many have already attempted to interpret their meaning, seeking out sources of divining magic to learn the truth, but with little success. And so, I leave this transcription of the prophecies to you, Miri, for those adept with your kind's enchanted eyes.

Should you wish to respond, cast the reverse enchantment on a separate page. A trivial task for a mursaat, I expect?

Goss Aleessh"
