Rewards[edit]

Walkthrough[edit]

Vigil Scout Premhoc can optionally be found just nortwest of Waypoint (map icon).png Pilgrim's Rest Waypoint as the mission begins. She will point three towers at Point of interest (map icon).png Raul's Watch, Point of interest (map icon).png Supra Fortis, and Point of interest (map icon).png Arcanological Survey Station that can be investigated.

The main objective is found at Point of interest (map icon).png Spire of Exaltation, which can then be entered from southeast of the Point of Interest to start the next instance with Call Allies.

Locate Vloxx within the Spire of Exaltation

Meet up with your allies and continue west while defeating enemies (only marked enemies need to be defeated, all Enchanted or Coalescences). Where the first enemies are found is a sidepath to the south for the The Path of Ascension achievement.

The next objective is found following the green arrows and heading up to the Point of interest (map icon).png Grand Colonnade. Continue along the corridor until a cutscene with Vloxx and Kuda plays, then break down the door at the end of the corridor.

Kuda's Omega Team consists of 3 champions, which have a lot of health but mostly don't deal that much damage and retreat at 25% health. Plokk is the simplest and simply attacks while occasionally inflicting Knockback, Naati throws out conditions and occasionally drops a dangerous field that Dazes and inflicts many conditions at once, and Zipp is the most dangerous due to Evadeing and dashing around while dealing more damage than the other two.

Continue up the tower after all 3 are defeated, up to the roof and then up the broken path to Vloxx's Energy Barrier (might require Springer or Skyscale use).

Get information on Canach's plan.

Reading Canach's mail starts the Infiltration Improvisation achievement, which needs to be completed to continue (can be done concurrently with the rest of the mission). War Scholar Jayna at Waypoint (map icon).png Deepwood Outpost Waypoint also needs to be spoken to.

The Sanctuary of the Keeper is at the Point of interest (map icon).png Whispering Artifact where 4 Journal Scrolls can be found: at the Point of Interest, on a rock to the northwest, by a crystal to the north-northeast, and up on a statue hand to the east. Sidony's final, Magical Scroll is found far below the Point of interest (map icon).png Spire of Exaltation, near the ground floor path walked during the "Path Cleared" objective of the story instance.

Vigil Scout Premhoc can be spoken too to see the locations of items for the Infiltration Improvisation achievement, and after it is completed the mission finishes at the southern entrance to Point of interest (map icon).png The Forge.

Achievements[edit]

  • Complete the mission.
  • Eligibility is tracked by Achievement effect.png Achievement Eligibility: Alliance Supporter, which appears automatically at the start of the chapter.
  • Complete 8 specific events in Eternity's Garden before completing the "Call your allies to meet you when you're ready" objective.
    • Investigate reports of a strange seer artifact in the Deepwood: Approach & stay close of the Seer artifact at Point of interest (map icon).png Whispering Artifact that inflicts Scion's Absorption.png Hostile Magic.
    • Locate the ruins of the Sanctum of the Divine: Enter the Sanctum of the Divine at Point of interest (map icon).png Dome of the Indelible Word.
    • Help the Alliance secure the seer chambers in the Temple of Abnegation: Complete any of the 3 events that is part of the These Cursed Halls achievement, starting at Point of interest (map icon).png Serene Nursery and heading north.
    • Complete tasks for Steward Brizio in the forge of Artificer's Islet: Complete the Assist the Stewards of Galdra around the forge heart at Point of interest (map icon).png The Forge.
    • Help repair the seer pipes in Ley-Drowned Quarry: Complete the Restore the ley lines around the quarry event just southeast of Artificer's Islet, northwest of Point of interest (map icon).png Toppled Monument.
    • Help Researcher Daniella gather ritual gear in Venomgrove Observatory: Complete the event Clear the vines and collect items for Daniella's risky ritual. near Point of interest (map icon).png Raul's Watch.
    • Conduct a hands-on field study of one of the ley-spotted moths in the Mothmarsh: Find any Ley-Spotted Moth in the Mothmarsh and use your special action key to pet it. One moth can be found directly south of Point of interest (map icon).png Aperture Falls.
    • Assist the Priory with their efforts near Pilgrim's Rest: Complete the event Escort Magister Lairu through the seer ruins. near Point of interest (map icon).png Pilgrim's Approach.
  • Eligibility is tracked by Achievement effect.png Achievement Eligibility: Surveillance Probe, which appears after talking to Vigil Scout Premhoc.
  • Scout all three locations called out by Vigil Premhoc without engaging the Inquest in combat.
    • Vigil Premhoc can be found right outside the map entry area, northwest of Waypoint (map icon).png Pilgrim's Rest Waypoint. Locations are loosely scattered, but getting there should not be hard. Just make sure you avoid events as most of them include Inquest foes.
    • The southwester tower is to the far west at Point of interest (map icon).png Raul's Watch, up in the broken tower. There are no Inquest enemies at the Point of Interest or on the way there.
    • The central tower is above Point of interest (map icon).png Supra Fortis. It has Inquest enemies right below it but if it's approached from the south or west it's possible to avoid them entirely.
    • The northeastern tower at Waypoint (map icon).png Sanctum Exterior Waypoint and Point of interest (map icon).png Arcanological Survey Station. This is the most difficult tower to approach, as Inquest are patrolling outside.
      • As the achievement is updated after the dialogue finishes, it's best to approach only until dialogue starts and then dashing away to avoid enemies.
The Path of Ascension map.jpg
  • The Seer spirit will remain after the final question and will keep asking it.
  • If some of the Enchanted Weapons have been killed (i.e. up the main path), then the out of bounds box reduces such that the Seer spirit can stand in an out of bounds location after asking the first question and moving.
  • Eligibility is tracked by Achievement effect.png Achievement Eligibility: The Path of Ascension.
  • The Seer spirit is found to the south of the spot where the first enemies during the Spire of Exaltation instance. Afterwards, there are five Tattered Pages scattered about in that side area that needs to be found.
  • This achievement has to be done before entering the second floor.
    • Page 1 is found on a stone table east of the spirit, reached by heading through the corridor heading east and going into a small room on the right side of the corridor.
    • Page 2 is found on the second floor, next to the southern stairwell. Since the southern stairwell is slightly out of bounds, you can either (a) use a mount on the southern stairwell, or (b) use the western stairwell by the ghost NPC.
    • Page 3 is found in the room east of Page 1, in the southwestern corner.
    • Page 4 is found in the room east of Page 1, in the northeastern corner.
    • Page 5 is found in the room just north of Pages 3 & 4, among the rubble in the northwestern corner.
  • The spirit will move a bit after each question, getting closer to the next page. If all pages were read before answering the first question one can simply stick close and answer the next question when it is posed.
    • The correct answers are "The page detailed a total of four accounts.", "Eight days for your forebear. You needed fifteen.", "I think there were sixteen in your group.", "It appears she needed twenty-three days.", and "Your trials lasted forty-two hours."
  • Unlocks after completing the Spire of Exaltation story instance and reading the associated Mail from Canach, and needs to be completed to continue. Vigil Scout Premhoc, found near Waypoint (map icon).png Pilgrim's Rest Waypoint, can point out all the possible locations of all items.
  • Below are some of the locations for collection items.
    • Canach's Device Component List: Acquired by reading Canach's mail.
    • Sample of Raw Ley Magic: Found among some crystals northwest and above of Point of interest (map icon).png Quarry Depths.
    • Sample of Raw Seer Magic: Found beneath Point of interest (map icon).png Raul's Watch.
    • Sample of Inquest Magitech: Found just west of Waypoint (map icon).png Sanctum Exterior Waypoint.
    • Chunk of Saltpeter: Found far northeast of the Point of interest (map icon).png Toppled Monument.
    • Chunk of Oxidized Copper: Found on a cliff west and slightly below of Point of interest (map icon).png Ascendant's Way.
    • Shard of Alum Crystal: Found next to the Point of interest (map icon).png Whispering Artifact.
    • Chunk of Pyrite Crystal: Found at Point of interest (map icon).png Hydrothermal Vents.
    • Vial of Crude Oil: Found southeast of Point of interest (map icon).png Infested Thicket.

    • Rudimentary Power Cell: Found at Point of interest (map icon).png Arcanological Survey Station.
    • Sheet of Metal: In the corner of Point of interest (map icon).png Gardesano's Atelier.
    • Leather Straps: Found in a tent northwest of Waypoint (map icon).png Deepwood Outpost Waypoint.

Explore Eternity's Garden (Open world)[edit]

Optional (Surveillance Probe)[edit]

Speak with Vigil Scout Premhoc
Vigil Scout Premhoc: Commander! It's exciting, working with a legend like you. Almost as exciting as the Castoran wildlife and vegetation!
Vigil Scout Premhoc: Uh, no offense. It's just, no one's explored these lands in centuries. Not that you aren't special, too, obviously—
<Character name>: No offense taken, Premhoc. But I'm looking for some kind of tower, not exotic flora and fauna. Seen any signs of one?

The Inquest have a monstrous facility northwest of here, stuck like a barnacle on a seer structure. Saw spires there.

  • Lore conversation (map icon).png Inquest facility attached to the forge.

Beyond that, looks like they've a camp farther north. Didn't get too close—big tower up there, kind of an eyesore.

  • Lore conversation (map icon).png Inquest camp in the north.

Oh! You should see the ruins to the west! Trees dragging the stone back to the earth... Towerlike structure there, too.

  • Lore conversation (map icon).png Seer ruins to the west.

Hey, you get a chance to explore later and find anything interesting—exotic plants, ornery beasties—be sure to tell me!

  • Survey the rest of Eternity's Garden.

— Vigil Scout Premhoc map report

Talking to Premhoc again
(if in the Vigil)
Vigil Scout Premhoc: If only Almorra could see how far we've come... (sighs) Listen, I really appreciate everything you've done for the Vigil. Work's never done though, eh? At least we get to explore this place! Amazing!
(otherwise)
Vigil Scout Premhoc: Work's never done, eh? At least we get to explore this place! The strand and the weald were teeming with new discoveries. Now these ruins! Amazing!
Talk more option tango.png What was that you said about exploring the area? (same as non-story dialogue, see Vigil Scout Premhoc#Eternity's Garden)
Talk quest option tango.png Wait, can you give me the rundown on the towers again? (replays map report, same as the initial interaction)
Talk end option tango.png Thanks for the info, Premhoc.
At the Inquest facility attached to the forge
<Character name>: Inquest have built some kind of facility on top of a huge seer structure northwest of camp. Is this where the tower is?
Isgarren: Describe it.
<Character name>: Situated on an island. Spires. Pipes coursing with ley magic, pouring into a central chamber.
Isgarren: No... No, I think not. The forge, perhaps. A place of great power, but— My memory fails me.
At the Inquest camp in the north
<Character name>: There's a large Inquest presence north of the central island structure. I think I see towers on the cliffs above.
Isgarren: Mmm. North of the forge. Yes. Likely that is it. Almost certainly. That temple is home to the Spire of Exaltation.
Rytlock Brimstone: Any sign of Vloxx?
<Character name>: It's massive; too high up. I can't see anything.
Canach: We need to get up there.
At the seer ruins to the west
<Character name>: Tower here in the west. Tangled with trees. Looks like it might've been floating at some point—anchored by chains.
Isgarren: Trees? Unlikely. I ... I believe it was located to the north. Grand. Imposing.
Sayida the Sly: Is it "grand and imposing," Commander?
<Character name>: More like abandoned and crumbling. Not sure what Premhoc sees in it... Moving on.

Main storyline[edit]

Entering the Temple of the Blessed Mantle
<Character name>: This temple...it's incredible. This has to be it.
Isgarren: Director Vloxx is no fool; if he's found the spire, it is likely he's already inside.
Isgarren: I would join you if I could, Wayfinder. I would suggest you do not venture inside alone.
Sayida the Sly: Find a safe spot as soon as you can, and let us know when you're going in. We'll be right there.
Calling your allies
<Character name>: All right. I'm ready to explore the temple. No sign of Vloxx, but I think it's safe to assume the Inquest are inside.
Isgarren: Take care, Wayfinder. This site is ancient. Powerful. Well defended. I'm sorry you must face this challenge without me.
Rytlock Brimstone: But not alone. We didn't come all this way just to listen in on comms.
Canach: Indeed. I can't wait to see what Vloxx has done with the place. We'll find you at the entrance, Commander.

Within Your Grasp: Ritual Grounds[edit]

Meeting with your allies at the Temple of the Blessed Mantle
Rytlock Brimstone: Gaudy architecture. Vaguely spiritual overtones. Must be the place.
Sayida the Sly: He has to be here. At least we still have time to stop him.
Rytlock Brimstone: Is that so?
Sayida the Sly: Well, if he'd managed to ascend, we'd all be dead already.
Rytlock Brimstone: Not sure about that—
Canach: Rytlock's right. Vloxx wouldn't kill the commander.
Sayida the Sly: Very funny.
Canach: I wasn't joking.
<Character name>: I'll put in a good word for all of you when we catch up to him. Now, let's get into that tower.
First enemy group on path cleared
Sayida the Sly: I'll never get used to fighting these floating weapons.
Canach: At least there's no guilt about putting them down.
Rytlock Brimstone: Guilt?

Optional (The Path of Ascension)[edit]

Approaching the Lost Seer Spirit
Lost Seer Spirit: Hello? Is this... Are you real? I've been alone so long ... and everything is so confusing.
Lost Seer Spirit: I'm afraid my sight is not what it once was ... Might I ask a boon of you?
Talking to the Lost Seer Spirit
Lost Seer Spirit: Stranger...I cannot see you clearly, but your aura tells of kindness; you are...good. Though you do not know me, perhaps you would be willing to help?
Talk more option tango.png How can I help?
Thank you. My soul is tethered within these walls, but the key to my freedom is nearby. A question plagues my mind: I sought accounts about my kind's ascension...but how many?
Talk quest option tango.png I'll see if I can find what you're looking for.
Talk end option tango.png I'm afraid I have something pressing to attend to.
For book text along the ways, see: Tattered Page
Page 1
Lost Seer Spirit: You have returned. The question yet remains. How many accounts of my kind's ascension were discovered? Though the answer may seem trivial...I feel knowing will help me move forward.
(if the first page is found)
Talk quest choice tango.png The page I found mentioned two accounts.
Talk quest choice tango.png The page said there were three accounts.
Talk quest choice tango.png The page detailed a total of four accounts.
Four? Is that...yes. Yes! That was it. I recall now, for it was the same number as the cardinal directions on my compass. I feel the tether pulling me down a different path. Meet me deeper within.
Talk quest option tango.png I'll return shortly.
(otherwise)
Talk end option tango.png I'll return when I've found something.
Page 2
Lost Seer Spirit: I feel lighter but not yet free. Another question burns like a brand in my inner sight. I see the pilgrim's path, leading to the temple. How long did it take for my forebear? For me?
(if the second page is found)
Talk quest choice tango.png Two days for your forebear. Eight for you.
Talk quest choice tango.png Your forebear was fifteen days. You, only four.
Talk quest choice tango.png Eight days for your forebear. You needed fifteen.
This means... Yes, I remember the shame I felt for taking so much longer than my forebear. Still, the pull remains, but it comes from elsewhere in the temple. Follow, if you would.
Talk quest option tango.png Lead on, spirit.
(otherwise)
Talk end option tango.png I need some time to answer.
Page 3-4
Lost Seer Spirit: My memory of the past remains jumbled, but my purpose sharpens. I remember faces...the ones I traveled the path with. So many, and yet ... I cannot recall their number. The answer...is near.
(if the third page is found)
Talk quest choice tango.png You shared the path with twelve others.
Talk quest choice tango.png It sounds like there were four of you.
Talk quest choice tango.png I think there were sixteen in your group.
Sixteen, you say? (gasps) You are correct. Although not all of my companions made it to the temple. The pull...it yet anchors me here. Another question blossoms in the weed-strewn garden of my mind.
Talk quest option tango.png What is the other question?
Speaking of my cohort, I recall Xintri. She gave me such wisdom. Spoke of her own matron's hesitance and it made me feel...lighter. Can you tell me...how many days she took before entering the trials?
(if the fourth page is found)
Talk quest choice tango.png She was at the temple for ten hours before attempting the trials.
Talk quest choice tango.png It appears she needed twenty-three days.
Oh, forebears, twenty-three days! I remember the burden lifting from my shoulders to hear that. Just as I feel it lifting again...the pull returns. One last memory, further in. Come.
Talk quest option tango.png I will meet you there.
Talk quest choice tango.png It sounded like eight weeks at the temple.
(otherwise)
Talk end option tango.png I'll need to look around.
(otherwise)
Talk end option tango.png Let me look around for it.
Page 5
Lost Seer Spirit: It was here that my journey ended. I passed the rite after...after some time. Yet, the specifics wriggle from my mind's grasp. Can you tell me...how long I was within the testing chamber?
(if the fifth page is found)
Talk quest choice tango.png Your trials lasted forty-two hours.
Talk quest choice tango.png Your trials lasted thirty minutes.
Talk quest choice tango.png You needed eleven hours to complete the trials.
You...you speak honestly, and yet... Oh, forebears, the full weight of truth reveals itself to me. These...these are not my memories. I did not complete the rite. I...died.
Talk quest option tango.png I'm sorry, I... What does this mean?
Lost Seer Spirit: I... No. This isn't right. I had thought...but these memories, while familiar, are not my own.
Lost Seer Spirit: I must dwell on this further. Thank you, fellow candidate. Perhaps we will see one another again...
(otherwise)
Talk end option tango.png I may return, spirit.

Back to the main storyline[edit]

Approaching the All Seer Statue
Sayida the Sly: This statue... Looks more than ceremonial. Something to do with the defenses?
Rytlock Brimstone: Impressive. But I'm focused on the things that are actively trying to kill me right now.
Canach: I'm sure Vloxx just waltzed right by all this with Ancora in hand.
<Character name>: Maybe he hasn't had time to activate everything. Let's not wait around to find out.
Finding a pile of Inquest equipment
Sayida the Sly: Inquest junk. Somebody's here, that's for sure. How do you want to play this, Commander?
<Character name>: If Vloxx is here, I either convince him to stop, or—
Canach: Or perhaps we take a lesson from him and become a bit more... proactive.
Rytlock Brimstone: In a hurry to get back to the pub?
Canach: Just ready to change the tune to this particular dance.
Examiateing the Inquest equipment
Inquest Communication Device: This communications device appears to be tracking some sort of signal to the north. Its controls are locked.
Talk end option tango.png I wonder what kind of range this thing has?
Inquest Component: This appears to be some kind of Inquest magitech energy container—it shares many similarities to the jade tech batteries employed by the Canthans.
Talk end option tango.png Wonder what these are being used for...
Inquest Hoverbike: These parked hoverbikes are still warm to the touch, indicating they were driven recently. The controls are locked, and the interface uses biometrics to unlock.
Talk end option tango.png Leave the bikes alone.
Inquest Storage Tank: This storage tank appears empty. Its size would suggest it could hold medium-sized creatures. Or a full-sized asura.
Talk end option tango.png Interesting...
Inquest Refuse: (This pile of debris contains mostly discarded golem parts and other used and worn-out magitech components. It appears it was abandoned in a hurry.)
Talk end option tango.png Typical of the Inquest to leave their junk wherever it suits them.
Inquest Datapad: (This datapad is the interface for the Inquest energy recorder near the seer terminal. Readings indicate they used the device to modulate the terminal's magic to open the gate into the temple.)
Talk end option tango.png The Inquest never let a locked door stop them ...
Entering the second floor of the temple (cutscene)
Overseer Kuda: I can return for a demonstration when they're fully combat ready—
Director Vloxx: No need.
Overseer Kuda: No need? The firepower that forge gives us access to could secure the Inquest's place as the preeminent power in Tyria.
Director Vloxx: Possibly.
Overseer Kuda: And that is of no interest to you? We have the key to the seer defense yet you waste your time up here?
Director Vloxx: Weaponry is your line of work. I trust you to see to it, as I trusted Sebb to see to his.
Overseer Kuda: Sebb is dead. And I can't help but notice that you didn't seem too bothered by that, Director.
Director Vloxx: Were you?
Overseer Kuda: No. But—
Director Vloxx: The designs of the Eternal Alchemy are beyond even me, Overseer. Now—
Zipp: Spies. Spies! At the window!
Director Vloxx: On second thought, Kuda, I'd like that demonstration after all.
Cutscene ends
<Character name>: Go! Get in there!
Director Vloxx: Omega Team, keep our guests busy, will you? Overseer, we'll reconvene when I'm done.
Zipp: Let's go!
Plokk: Yes, Director.
Naati: Gladly.
Overseer Kuda: Wait! They're still too volatile for combat—
<Character name>: Vloxx, stop!
Breaking down the door
Naati: The commander? Ally of the seer. Where is he? I must know!
Plokk: Excellent. A worthy opponent. None could deny it.
Zipp: Need to fight. Have to move. Have to kill. Kill or die. Kill or die. Kill or die.
Getting Plokk to 75% health
Plokk: It seems I must unleash my full strength.
Overseer Kuda: Less power and more accuracy, fool!
Fighting Naati
Overseer Kuda: Director! What are you waiting for?
Getting Naati to 75% health
Naati: I'll show you my true power.
Overseer Kuda: Naati, stop! You're going to— (gasps)
(Kuda begins cowering.)
Fighting Zipp
Overseer Kuda: He's not coming. Vloxx! If you think I'm just another Sebb, you're about to be very disappointed!
Getting Zipp to 75% health
Zipp: This power... I cannot...control... (yells)
Overseer Kuda: Zipp! Restrain yourself, or you'll kill us all!
Getting Zipp to 25% health
Overseer Kuda: Enough! Omega Team, fall back. We're not sacrificing ourselves for this!
Naati: Overseer! They must pay for the crimes they've committed!
Overseer Kuda: The commander has plenty to answer for, but we've more important matters than revenge. Now, retreat! That's an order!
Zipp: It's not over. It's not over. You'll die. You'll die.
Sayida the Sly: What the—
Canach: We can thank them later.
<Character name>: Up. Quickly.
Approaching the energy barrier
Sayida the Sly: So close! We had him!
<Character name>: Vloxx? Can you hear me? Talk to me. Vloxx?
Rytlock Brimstone: (growls) I'll crack that flaming door open—
Canach: Hmm. A fusion of seer magic and Inquest tech. I don't think your claws will do the job, friend.
<Character name>: Isgarren, you hearing all this? Any ideas?
Isgarren: He likely used Ancora to seal the way. Not wholly impenetrable. A delaying tactic at best. If I could just—
<Character name>: Canach? Where are YOU off to?
Canach: Off to write a new tune.
<Character name>: What?
Canach: I'll be in contact.
Listening to Vloxx's hologram
Director Vloxx: Commander. I wish circumstances were different; this is a moment I'd hoped to share with you.
<Character name>: You can. All you need to do is open the door. Let's talk this out.
Director Vloxx: I've thought through every conceivable scenario. This is the only way.
Director Vloxx: If you stood where I now stand, with solutions within your grasp, would I be able to change your mind?
<Character name>: Vloxx...
Director Vloxx: I'll see you on the other side, Commander.
<Character name>: Vloxx, wait—
Regrouping with your allies
<Character name>: Damn.
Sayida the Sly: We can stop him. There's still time.
Rytlock Brimstone: And if we don't? What will he see? What will he do?
<Character name>: Isgarren?
Isgarren: Everything. Anything.
<Character name>: He hasn't performed the rite yet. We will get in there. Let's see what Canach has cooked up...
Interacting with the Energy Barrier
This energy barrier hums with a harmonic resonance that vibrates the roots of your teeth. It feels familiar yet also unlike anything you've encountered before.
Talk quest option tango.png Take a closer look at the energy barrier.
Peering deeper, you see a complex web of radiant ley energy, the cosmic sorcery of seer magic, and the crimson glow of Inquest magitech, all woven together into one pattern.
Talk end option tango.png That's...impressive.

Canach's plan (Open World)[edit]

Receives letter from Canach

Canach

Component List

Commander,

I've listed the items that I require to create a device that will allow you to bypass Vloxx's clever little energy barrier and access the Spire of Exaltation. Rest assured, success is all but guaranteed, so long as you bring me all of the following components:

  • A sample of raw ley magic
  • A sample of seer magic
  • A sample of Inquest magitech
  • A chunk of saltpeter
  • A chunk of oxidized copper
  • A shard of alum crystal
  • A chunk of pyrite crystal
  • A vial of crude oil
  • A portable hourglass
  • A rudimentary power cell
  • A sheet of metal
  • Leather straps
Once you've gathered all of these materials, contact me and I will meet you at the forge. Good luck, Commander!

If you need additional help, you could ask Vigil Scout Premhoc. She probably has a good idea where you can find the items we need.

Interactive map

After reading the letter
Isgarren: Wayfinder, before you bring the components to Canach, I would ask that you keep an eye out for something.
Isgarren: A scroll. Sidony's scroll, from which he recited the curse he invoked upon me. If it is in the area, it must be found.
<Character name>: How will that help?
Isgarren: I believe that with that scroll, I—we—can devise a counter to the curse. Historian Minna can assist me if we obtain it.
<Character name>: I'm on it. Where do I start?
Isgarren: Find Jayna in the forest west of the temple. She has been gathering information and will provide details. Thank you.
Speaking with Vigil Scout Premhoc
(if in the Vigil)
Vigil Scout Premhoc: If only Almorra could see how far we've come... (sighs) Listen, I really appreciate everything you've done for the Vigil. Work's never done though, eh? At least we get to explore this place! Amazing!

Speaking with Ward Scholar Jayna
Ward Scholar Jayna: Greetings, Wayfinder! Minna said Isgarren might send you to our little outpost here. How can I help?
<Character name>: I'm hunting down a scroll. Written by Sidony.
Ward Scholar Jayna: Isgarren's curse, yes? So he thinks they can reverse it, then? We found several of Sidony's journals inside the temple.
Ward Scholar Jayna: They're mostly personal thoughts, but he does mention a nearby garden where he went to meditate when he was troubled.
<Character name>: As good a lead as any. I'll check it out. Thanks, Scholar[sic].

<Character name>: Jayna? I've a scroll that might be what we're looking for—near an enchanted tree inside a secret room in the temple.
<Character name>: I'm focused on gathering components for Canach—can you pick this up?
Ward Scholar Jayna: I'll have someone from my team head over right away!
Isgarren: Thank you, Wayfinder.
After completing Infiltration Improvisation and the objective about Sidony's curse
<Character name>: Canach, I've gathered everything on your list. Are you sure about—
Canach: The clock is ticking, Commander. Meet me at the forge.

My story[edit]

Within Your Grasp loading screen.png

I set off into the wilderness of Eternity's Garden in search of a structure that might be what Isgarren called "The Spire of Exaltation"—the tower where the seers performed the rite of Divitium Nava. While there are plenty of spire-like ruins in the area-some more interesting than others—I discovered a sprawling temple situated on a massive bluff in the north that seemed particularly promising.

I contacted my allies over comms. Isgarren speculated that if Director Vloxx had also seen this structure, he was likely already there. Vloxx's head start on us meant that he'd had weeks to scour the ruins for information on the rite and learn how to ascend; if he completed the rite, he could obtain power and knowledge to rival that of Isgarren himself. What he would do with such power was unclear, but we couldn't risk Vloxx or the Inquest gaining access to it.

Isgarren could not venture beyond camp, incapacitated by Sidony's curse, but I found a relatively safe spot on the east side of the massive temple and called for Sayida, Canach, and Rytlock to meet me.

***

I rendezvoused with my allies just inside the grounds of the Temple of the Blessed Mantle. Even in its current state of disrepair, the scale and grandiosity of the temple spoke of its importance to seer culture. We battled our way through the corridor's magical defenses—defenses Vloxx no doubt didn't have to contend with, being in possession of Ancora—and then found ourselves at the foot of a towering, ancient seer statue. Sayida speculated that it could be some form of defense, but whether that was true or not, we had more immediate threats to deal with.

As we fought our way up the spire ramps, we found Inquest vehicles and equipment on a landing, all but confirming our suspicions that Vloxx had already found the spire and could well be waiting above.

Sure enough, we entered the tower interior just in time to catch a snippet of conversation between Director Vloxx and Overseer Kuda. Since Sebb's death back in Starlit Weald, it was clear that Kuda now operated as Vloxx's second-in-command...and she seemed to vehemently disagree with Vloxx's priorities.

We eavesdropped as Kuda argued for the importance of her latest experimental creations—a trio of Inquest warriors with powers enhanced by the potent magical energy of the nearby seer forge. She believed their powers could make the Inquest unstoppable.

Vloxx couldn't have been less interested.

Kuda was furious, but Vloxx shut her arguments down. He seemed about to dismiss her when her addled, jittery underling Zipp spotted us.

Vloxx ordered Kuda's "Omega Team"—Zipp, Naati, and Plokk—to attack, then he promptly retreated up the spire ramps. We had no choice but to engage the forge-enhanced Inquest as Kuda shouted orders at them from afar.

It quickly became clear to all involved that Zipp, Naati, and Plokk hadn't mastered their newfound powers yet. Rather than allow the destruction of her precious experiments for the cause of buying Director Vloxx more time, Kuda surprised us and called for a quick retreat. Still, Vloxx had ample time to clear the area; we barreled up the last few ramps only to find a hastily erected magical barrier between us and the chamber atop the spire.

I called Isgarren over comms. As we caught him up on the situation, Canach closely examined the barrier then casually walked back down the ramp saying he was "off to write a new tune" and that he'd be in contact.

Before I could question him any further, Canach leaped away and Vloxx's hologram crackled to life just outside the barrier. There was no convincing Vloxx to open the barrier or talk things over. He insisted what he was doing was "the only way" and that he would see me "on the other side."

We'd been mere minutes from stopping Vloxx, but in the end, we were too late; Vloxx had unfettered access to the Spire of Exaltation, and all we could do was hope that Canach could get us through that door with enough time to stop him before he could complete the rite of Divitium Nava.

***

I made my way from the Spire of Exaltation and the blocked door to the chamber at its peak.

I quickly received a message from Canach detailing the components he required to create the "device" he planned to use to open the barrier. It was time to explore Eternity's Garden.

***

As I set out to hunt Canach's components down, Isgarren contacted me, asking that I also keep an eye out for an ancient magical scroll that Sidony used to create Isgarren's curse. If we could find the scroll, there was a chance that he and his assistant, Historian Minna, could possibly use it to somehow break the curse.

While I had little time to spare, there was no doubt we'd been sorely hampered without having Isgarren at full strength since arriving on Castora. I agreed to help, and he pointed me toward an Astral Ward scholar named Jayna for more information.

With no time to waste, I set about gathering the components for Canach's device. I also met with Jayna, who had a lead on the possible location of Sidony's scroll. It was no small task tracking down the scroll and the extensive list of components, but eventually I managed to gather everything we needed.

I headed to the forge to meet up with Canach.
