Steward of Galdra: Welcome to the forge. Please, do clean up after yourself.
Steward of Galdra: We'd prefer you don't damage anything during your visit. Not unless necessary.
Steward Drudo: Have you seen the high steward? My communications crystal has been dulled by all of the strange technologies in the forge.
Steward Trota: Likely tending to one of the doyen's gardens. They will return soon.
Steward Stasso: This level of activity has not occurred for millennia. Many of the new artificers are exceedingly hostile.
Steward Bello: Our task is not to prevent their access. That task lies with the enchanted weapons, elementals, and the All Seer.
Steward Stasso: Merely an observation. My task is to unremittingly direct idle artificers toward labor duties unbefitting a steward.
Ward Researcher Skyler: It's just... You're fascinating! Your kind reminds me so much of the Galdra in Amnytas.
Steward Adamo: Galdra? The stewards and your "Galdra" share the same namesake. We are the children of Gardesano, the original artificer.
Ward Researcher Skyler: How curious! Given Isgarren's lineage, I wonder... I might just have to take one of you back with us. Perhaps run a few tests?
Steward Adamo: While we are supportive of innovation and research, removing us from the island would not be ideal.
Steward Adamo: How else would I tend to the needs of the forge?
Celsa Smoketail: Hear anything good out there?
Lucilius Bladetooth: Sort of. Rumor has it that Kuda extracted something from the forge. Was spotted by a security golem, so I didn't hear much else.
Celsa Smoketail: Blazes... Well, that lines up with my intel. One of my listening devices picked up a little chat between two of her goons.
Celsa Smoketail: Confirmed that she retrieved something, but they said that whatever it is can't be utilized on its own. They need to augment it.
Celsa Smoketail: Any word on what they grabbed? Anything?
Lucilius Bladetooth: Sorry, no. We'd better report this to Ember, though.
Explorer Rysta: You explore the storerooms? See the staves on display?
Astral Ward Researcher Carrie: I did. To think, it took several attempts to forge Legavo and Mulmund.
Astral Ward Researcher Carrie: I wonder what compelled the seers to keep the castoffs rather than destroy them?
Explorer Rysta: The best smiths use their mistakes as teaching tools, both for themselves and those who come after.
Astral Ward Researcher Carrie: When you were in Bava Nisos, were there any mentions of a "Gilded End" or a "Dorat Fine" in the seer tongue?
Explorer Rysta: There was! A few ancient accounts archived from the war with the mursaat. Interrogation logs, mostly.
Explorer Rysta: We surmised the seers had made several of the weapon that became known as the Shining Blade.
Astral Ward Researcher Carrie: Such expectations for these "divine" implements. Most never became the miracles the seers hoped they'd be.
Astral Ward Illuminate Igor: Have you witnessed the forge illuminate yet?
Astral Ward Illuminate Pierre: I have! What do you think causes that?
Astral Ward Illuminate Igor: According to Isgarren, it was a safeguard set by the original artificers of the forge. It's a protection ward of some type.
Astral Ward Illuminate Pierre: We could use such magic in Amnytas.
Astral Ward Illuminate Igor: Heh. That'd definitely keep Lyhr from burning his mitts over supper.

(unnamed Inquest 2): I don't need them to fear us; I'm here to do important research, work that will one day help all of Tyria.

(unnamed Inquest 1): Be careful who you say that to. Kuda doesn't care for that kind of talk.
(unnamed Inquest 2): Well then, it's fortunate that Kuda's not in charge.

(unnamed Inquest 2): Adapting the forge technology to meld with organic tissues—non-seer tissues at that—it's a bold direction.
(unnamed Inquest 2): We can only hope Zipp, Plokk, and Naati are able to work out the kinks without dying in the process.
(unnamed Inquest 1): Hm. Yes. They've out-survived the previous round of subjects, at least. (noise of disgust) Unpleasant business.
