Legendary Entity Stance

Invoke the power of the legendary entity of the Mists, Razah.

— In-game description

Legendary Entity Stance draws upon Razah, a Mists-born being of old who had mastery over a number of martial and magical disciplines.

The healing and utility skills in Legendary Entity Stance have a unique resonance mechanic relating each skill to a core revenant legendary figure. If the related legend — Shiro Tagachi, Ventari, Mallyx the Unyielding, or King Jalis Ironhammer — is equipped, then the corresponding skill will provide its augmented or additional resonance on activation. The Legendary Entity Stance elite, Twin Moon Sweep, will always have a resonance effect with the effects changing respective to the second equipped legend on the character.

Skills[edit]

Utility

Beguiling Haze.png Beguiling Haze 0.25¼ 20 10 Send an unblockable fragment of Razah towards the targeted area. When the fragment reaches its target, shadowstep to its position, dealing damage to enemies in the area. Resonance. If Legendary Assassin Stance is equipped, this skill deals additional damage and removes boons if only one enemy was struck by this attack.

Gladiator's Defense.png Gladiator's Defense 10 5 Break out of a stun, damaging and weakening enemies close to you. Gain boons if this skill strikes at least one enemy. Remove additional energy if this skill was used to break a stun.

Resonance. If Legendary Dwarf Stance is equipped, the additional energy cost for breaking stuns is reduced, and the boons are also granted to allies in a radius around you.
Hex-Eater Vortex.png Hex-Eater Vortex 0.5½ 15 5 Remove conditions on yourself, then fire projectiles that inflict conditions at random enemies within your radius, based on the number of conditions removed.

Resonance. If Legendary Demon Stance is equipped, the maximum number of projectiles is always fired regardless of conditions removed, and all projectiles are fired at the closest enemy instead.

Idle conversations[edit]

If asura
Razah: Asuran ingenuity is a marvel to witness. You bear more similarities to the elder species that once ruled Tyria than any other.
Razah: But those species often found themselves atop a throne of isolation. Magic and advancement beyond comprehension, but alone.
Razah: I hope the asura avoid that fate.
If charr
Razah: I walked through Ascalon shortly after its ruin. Your people were driven by rage and fear, then.
Razah: I think that is why I'm drawn to the charr's resilience. You not only healed but rebuilt the foundations of your society.
If human
Razah: I've always felt a deep sadness for your people, hero. For one's deities to deliver them to a new realm and abandon them?
Razah: I am filled with...melancholy.
If norn
Razah: If I may make an observation, hero.
Razah: Channeling you is much less straining than the other heroes. I think it may be due to your people's connection to the Spirits.
If sylvari
Razah: I hold a special fondness for your people. For a fledgling species, you have already reached an existential juncture.
Razah: Some may look at your relation to the dead jungle dragon as a bane, but you are connected to Tyria in a unique way.
Razah: Just like the oldest tree in this world, you are a part of it. Not simply a passenger.
While in Lion's Arch
Razah: Lion's Arch has always been a curious reflection of the state of Tyrian affairs. I enjoy this place.
Razah: To see so many charr, for instance, is a grand demonstration of your growth as a world.
While in Cantha
Razah: I traveled through Cantha with the hero long ago. The empire then was fierce, but it has changed for the better.
While in Elona
Razah: The shifting sands of Elona still seethe with Abaddon's rage. I don't know if his essence will ever completely fade.
While in Hall of Monuments
Razah: Ah. This place was built to honor the hero.
Razah: They hosted great fights... I can nearly hear the cheers for battles past. The hero gained the norn's trust. An outsider, allowed in.
While in The Wizard's Tower
Razah: The Kryptis are fascinating creatures to watch, if not tragic. They are born of dreams plucked from other realms.
Razah: Such an existence must be a trying one. I empathize, as I too was born from coalesced energies colliding in the space between realms.
Razah: Although I'm glad I developed a proclivity for curiosity, and not a taste for the demise of others—like so many of my origin.
While in Janthir
Razah: A Deep Bruise has been inflicted on the various peoples that have called Janthir home.
Razah: The humans were manipulated. The Kodan who do not worship Koda hid from those who do.
Razah: Even the Mursaat, as cruel as they became, watched their entire people perish. The tides of existence will always rise and fall.
Approaching Rytlock Brimstone in Shipwreck Strand
Razah: One of the first revenants, taught by Glint. He was an earnest student, although his demeanor wouldn't reveal that as truth.

Lore[edit]

Primary article: Razah

Centuries ago, the hero who defeated the fallen god Abaddon met a strange entity imprisoned deep within the Realm of Torment: Razah, a being born of the Mists. Freed by Abaddon’s death to seek their own purpose in life, Razah chose to accompany the hero across Tyria, and their boundless curiosity led them to study and master any number of martial and magical disciplines.

But Razah’s story seemed to have ended with their companion’s; no one has seen or heard from them since. They may have returned to the Mists to wander or fallen to the corruption they once feared. They might have learned to mimic human behavior precisely enough to live a hundred lives in obscurity. Or they could have been watching our world, still learning—and waiting for someone like you.

Official website

Razah has been watching Tyria from the Mists. Channel their power, assume different forms, and devastate the battlefield as a conduit. Channel Razah and gain ascension skills. Gain their powers, but only for a limited time. Learn their abilities to better understand the best path to victory. Through your connection to the assassin, warrior, mesmer, monk, and dervish, unleash powers that have not been seen since the legends themselves. Through your connection to Razah, find strength, resilience, courage, and purpose, as the conduit.
