This is a list of ranger traits.

Marksmanship.png Marksmanship[edit]

"You can't outrun my arrow."

Marksmanship augments and improves ranged combat, utilizing a powerful opening strike to debilitate enemies and pick them off before they can close the distance. Signets can also be enhanced.

Major Adept Stoneform.png Stoneform Use Lesser Signet of Stone when you use an elite skill. Activating a Signet grants might and fury.
Major Adept Hunter's Gaze.png Hunter's Gaze 1 Gain might when you strike a foe based on their health percent.
Major Adept Clarion Bond.png Clarion Bond Cast Lesser Call of the Wild when you swap pets.
Minor Master Alpha Focus.png Alpha Focus Your opening strikes inflict cripple on your foes.
Major Master Wolfsong.png Wolfsong Canine Beast abilities apply vulnerability and reveal nearby enemies. You deal additional increased strike damage against vulnerable enemies.
Major Master Steady Focus.png Farsighted Ranger weapon skills deal increased strike damage. Damage is further increased for foes above the range threshold.
Major Master Moment of Clarity.png Moment of Clarity Gain an attack of opportunity for you and your pet on interrupting a foe. Daze and stun durations that you inflict last longer.
This trait can only grant an attack of opportunity against enemies with defiance bars once per interval.
Minor Grandmaster Precise Strike.png Precise Strike Opening Strike has an increased chance to critically strike.
Major Grandmaster Predator's Onslaught.png Predator's Onslaught You and your pet deal increased strike damage to disabled, defiant, or movement-impaired foes.
Affected conditions are stun, taunt, daze, cripple, fear, immobilize, and chilled.
Major Grandmaster Remorseless.png Remorseless Regain opening strike whenever you gain fury. Opening strike deals more damage.
Major Grandmaster Lead the Wind.png Lead the Wind Your longbow and harpoon-gun skills pierce and recharge faster. Point-Blank Shot grants boons.

Skirmishing.png Skirmishing[edit]

"Swift as a bird, bite like a serpent."

Skirmishing improves your mobility in combat, granting various bonuses when you swap weapons and encouraging quick movement. It gives additional benefits when you evade attacks and enhances your traps.

Major Master Fang and Claw.png Fang and Claw 20 Feline, avian, and drake pets gain additional precision and ferocity. Beast skills grant fury around the ranger.
Major Master Strider's Strength.png Strider's Strength 1 You and your pet gain power. Gain additional power while wielding a sword. Successfully evading an attack grants might.
Major Master Hidden Barbs.png Hidden Barbs Bleeding you inflict is more dangerous.
Minor Grandmaster Hunter's Tactics.png Hunter's Tactics You deal more damage and have an increased chance to critically strike while attacking from behind or the side or when striking a defiant foe.
Major Grandmaster Quick Draw.png Quick Draw 9 When swapping weapons, gain quickness. The next ranger weapon skill you use will recharge faster.
Major Grandmaster Light on your Feet.png Light on your Feet Damage and condition duration are increased after dodging or using a ranger skill that evades. Short bow skills pierce and gain recharge reduction, and their attacks from behind or while flanking or against defiant foes are improved.
Major Grandmaster Vicious Quarry.png Vicious Quarry 2 Fury grants ferocity and additional increased critical strike chance. When struck while below the health threshold, gain fury.

Wilderness Survival.png Wilderness Survival[edit]

"In the wild...all you can rely on is yourself."

Wilderness survival offers techniques to improve your defense in order to stay alive during intense combat. It grants both offensive and defensive condition augments depending on whether you are applying conditions or receiving them.

Major Adept Child of Earth.png Child of Earth Create muddy terrain when you use a healing skill.
Major Adept Oakheart Salve.png Oakheart Salve 10 Gain regeneration when you are inflicted with bleeding, poison, or burning. While you have regeneration, you take reduced strike damage.
Major Adept Arachnophobia (trait).png Arachnophobia Spider pet's Spit and devourer pet's Twin Darts additionally inflict torment. You and your pet gain expertise; spiders and devourers gain more.
Minor Master Companion's Defense.png Companion's Defense You and your pet gain protection when you dodge roll.
Major Master Ambidexterity.png Ambidexterity Gain condition damage. Gain additional condition damage while wielding a torch, dagger, or mace. Torch and dagger skills recharge faster.
Major Master Survival Instincts.png Survival Instincts Gain increased outgoing strike damage and reduced incoming strike damage. When above the health threshold, outgoing strike damage is further increased. When below the health threshold, incoming strike damage is further reduced.
Major Master Empathic Bond.png Empathic Bond Remove conditions when you swap pets.
Minor Grandmaster Rugged Growth.png Rugged Growth You and your pet recover health while affected by protection.
Major Grandmaster Carnivore.png Carnivore 0.25¼ Steal health from enemies when you or your pet disable them.
Disables include stun, daze, knockback, pull, knockdown, sink, float, launch, taunt, and fear.
Major Grandmaster Wilderness Knowledge.png Wilderness Knowledge Survival skills grant fury and remove conditions.
Major Grandmaster Poison Master.png Poison Master Upon using a Beast ability, your pet's next attack will inflict poison; your poison damage is increased.

Nature Magic.png Nature Magic[edit]

"Nature, guide me..."

Nature magic focuses on the application of supportive and regenerative boons to yourself, your pet, and your allies. Your spirits are also enhanced, providing additional support.

Major Adept Bountiful Hunter.png Bountiful Hunter You deal increased strike damage for each boon affecting you. Your pet deals increased strike damage for each boon affecting it.
Major Adept Wellspring.png Wellspring Grant regeneration to nearby allies when you use a healing skill. You and your pet gain healing power based on power.
Major Adept Allies' Aid.png Allies' Aid Cast "Search and Rescue!" when you begin reviving an ally. Moa pets grant barrier to nearby allies with their Beast skill.
Minor Master Fortifying Bond.png Fortifying Bond When you gain a boon, it is shared with your pet.
Major Master Evasive Purity.png Evasive Purity Cleanse a condition when you dodge. Heal if you cleansed a condition this way.
Major Master Vigorous Training.png Spirited Arrival Grant boons to nearby allies when swapping pets.
Major Master Windborne Notes.png Windborne Notes Grant nearby allies regeneration when you use a warhorn skill. Heal allies when you grant them regeneration.
Minor Grandmaster Lingering Magic.png Lingering Magic You and your pet gain increased concentration. Regeneration you apply is more effective.
Major Grandmaster Nature's Vengeance.png Nature's Vengeance Spirits slam again when they finish shaking.
Major Grandmaster Protective Ward.png Protective Ward 15 Cast Lesser "Guard!" when you swap pets.
Major Grandmaster Invigorating Bond.png Invigorating Bond 20 Beast skills heal allies around the ranger.

Beastmastery.png Beastmastery[edit]

"We strike as one."

Specializing in beast mastery enhances your overall synergy with your pet by strengthening their beast skill, improving on their abilities and granting various boons after successfully striking a foe.

Improved attributes are power, condition damage, precision, toughness, and vitality.
Major Adept Go for the Eyes.png Go for the Eyes 12 Nearby foes are blinded by Beast abilities.
Major Adept Natural Healing (ranger trait).png Natural Healing Your pet recovers health each interval.
Major Adept Resounding Timbre.png Resounding Timbre Commands copy boons from yourself to your pet.
Soulbeast: when merged, extend the duration of boons on yourself instead.
Minor Master Loud Whistle.png Loud Whistle While your health is above the threshold, your pet deals increased strike damage. Your pet swap gains recharge reduction.
Major Master Wilting Strike.png Wilting Strike Beast abilities inflict weakness on those struck.
This effect will only occur once on each target struck by an ability.
Major Master Bestial Rage.png Bestial Rage 0.25¼ Gain might and fury when you disable a foe.
Major Master Honed Axes.png Honed Axes You and your pet gain ferocity. Axe skills gain reduced recharge, and you gain additional ferocity while wielding an axe.
Minor Grandmaster Pet's Prowess.png Pet's Prowess Your pet moves faster and deals more damage on critical hits.
Major Grandmaster Beastly Warden.png Beastly Warden 20 Beast abilities taunt nearby foes. Ursine and porcine pets deal increased damage and have increased health.
Major Grandmaster Zephyr's Speed (ranger).png Zephyr's Speed Cast Lesser Quickening Zephyr when you swap pets.
Major Grandmaster Go for the Throat.png Go for the Throat When you strike an enemy with a Beast ability, cast Lesser "Sic 'Em!" on the enemy.

Druid.png Druid[edit]

"The stars, earth, and sky above will heal us."

Druids utilize the power of nature and the stars above to heal their allies, using glyph skills to channel powerful boons and protective utilities. By generating your astral force, you can channel your Celestial Avatar form.

Minor Adept Celestial Being.png Celestial Being Gain access to Glyphs. Become a celestial avatar once you gain enough astral force. Generate astral force by healing allies and damaging foes.
Major Adept Druidic Clarity.png Druidic Clarity Becoming a celestial avatar removes conditions from you and nearby allies.
Major Adept Cultivated Synergy.png Cultivated Synergy Using your heal skill, heals allies around you and your pet.
Major Adept Blood Moon.png Blood Moon 8 Daze enemies when you become a celestial avatar. Inflict bleeding on enemies you immobilize or disable.
Minor Master Live Vicariously.png Live Vicariously 1 When you heal an ally, you are also healed.
Major Master Celestial Shadow.png Celestial Shadow Grant superspeed and stealth to nearby allies when leaving celestial avatar form.
Major Master Verdant Etching.png Verdant Etching Glyphs grant protection to nearby allies.
Major Master Natural Balance.png Natural Balance Upon entering and leaving celestial avatar form, deal increased damage and gain boon duration for a brief period.
Minor Grandmaster Natural Mender.png Natural Mender Increase healing to other allies. Gain astral force each interval while not in celestial avatar form.
Major Grandmaster Grace of the Land.png Grace of the Land Grant boons to allies within the radius of your Celestial Avatar skills.
Major Grandmaster Lingering Light.png Lingering Light While in Celestial Avatar form, your healing of others is significantly increased. Healing another player with a Celestial Avatar skill reduces the cooldown of Celestial Avatar.
Cooldown can only be reduced once per outgoing heal and will occur even if the affected player is at full health.
Major Grandmaster Eclipse (trait).png Eclipse Your Celestial Avatar skills are offensively augmented. Striking enemies grants additional astral force.

Soulbeast.png Soulbeast[edit]

"Two hearts fighting as one."

Soulbeasts gain the ability to merge with their pet, channeling their power and the ability to use their beast skills. One with your pet, you are fierce in melee-focused combat.

Traits that affect your pet may affect you differently while in beastmode.
Major Adept Fresh Reinforcement.png Fresh Reinforcement Entering beastmode grants you the boons affecting your pet.
Major Adept Live Fast.png Live Fast Using a Beast ability grants you offensive boons.
Major Adept Unstoppable Union.png Unstoppable Union Entering or exiting beast mode grants protection.
Minor Master Furious Strength.png Furious Strength You deal increased strike damage while you have fury.
Major Master Second Skin.png Second Skin Conditions inflict less damage to you while you have protection.
Major Master Essence of Speed.png Essence of Speed 5 Gaining quickness increases the duration of other boons affecting you.
Major Master Predator's Cunning.png Predator's Cunning When you apply poison to a foe, steal some health from them.
Minor Grandmaster Twice as Vicious.png Twice as Vicious Disabling a foe increases your damage and condition damage for a short duration.
Major Grandmaster Eternal Bond.png Eternal Bond Heal when you use a merged skill. You can swap pets while merged.
Major Grandmaster Leader of the Pack.png Leader of the Pack Stance skills gain increased duration on you and grant their effects to nearby allies for a reduced duration.
Major Grandmaster Oppressive Superiority.png Oppressive Superiority Deal increased damage to foes at a lower health percentage than you. Conditions you apply to foes at a lower health percentage than you last longer.

Untamed.png Untamed[edit]

"Unleashed, unbound—the rage of the Echovald Forest lives in us."

The Untamed share a primal bond with nature through their pet, juggling control of raw power back and forth to defeat foes—your pet uses debilitating nature-based skills to weaken enemies, then relinquishes that power to you for the final strike.

Minor Adept Unleashed Power.png Unleashed Power 9 Gain access to Cantrips and Unleash. While your pet is unleashed, its skills are replaced with larger area-of-effect skills. Once per interval, Unleashed Ambush skills become available for a short period of time after you unleash.
Major Adept Debilitating Blows.png Debilitating Blows 1 Disabling a foe applies conditions to that foe based on your current state.
Disables include stun, daze, knockback, pull, knockdown, sink, float, launch, taunt, and fear.
Major Adept Nature's Shield.png Nature's Shield Cantrips grant barrier to you and your pet.
Major Adept Blinding Outburst.png Blinding Outburst Venomous Outburst deals more damage and applies blindness in addition to its other effects. Unleashed Ambush skills deal more damage.
Minor Master Natural Fortitude.png Natural Fortitude Gain vitality. Unleashed Ambush skills siphon health if they hit. Siphon healing is reduced for each target struck beyond the first. Cannot siphon the same target more than once per skill.
Major Master Enhancing Impact.png Enhancing Impact 1 Disabling a foe grants you boons based on your current state.
Disables include stun, daze, knockback, pull, knockdown, sink, float, launch, taunt, and fear.
Major Master Cleansing Unleash.png Cleansing Unleash 10 Remove conditions when you or your pet unleash.
Major Master Corrupting Vines.png Corrupting Vines Rending Vines corrupts boons into conditions instead of removing them. Unleashed Ambush skills remove boons from enemies. Cannot affect enemies more than once per skill.
Minor Grandmaster Vow of the Untamed.png Vow of the Untamed Your outgoing strike damage is increased while you are unleashed. You take reduced damage from strikes while your pet is unleashed.
Major Grandmaster Let Loose.png Let Loose 9 Unleashed Ambush skills grant boons to nearby allies. Refresh Unleashed Power when you swap weapons.
Major Grandmaster Biorhythm.png Biorhythm 10 When you or your pet unleash, gain biorhythm every interval for a duration. When you reach the biorhythm stack threshold, the next time you or your pet unleash, gain both bonuses from Vow of the Untamed.
Major Grandmaster Ferocious Symbiosis.png Ferocious Symbiosis 0.5½ You and your pet grant each other increased damage and movement speed when striking enemies. When this triggers, it refreshes the duration of all stacks

Galeshot.png Galeshot[edit]

Archers from the Dominion of the Winds have learned to harness the powerful squall magic of their forests to weave a bow made of pure wind. That bow in hand, the galeshot manipulates the gusts around them to gracefully maneuver the battlefield and carry their arrows.

Minor Adept Teachings of the Tengu.png Teachings of the Tengu Mastery of tengu wind magic allows you to conjure the Cyclone Bow at will. Using arrow-consuming skills grants Wind Force. After you reach the Wind Force threshold, you are able to use Hawkeye. Gain access to Squalls.
Using Cyclone Bow skills consumes arrows. You generate arrows every interval.
Major Adept Joy of Movement.png Joy of Movement Squalls remove movement-impairing conditions and a damaging condition.
Major Adept Feel the Rush.png Feel the Rush Movement skills grant you swiftness and endurance.
Major Adept Wuthering Wind.png Wuthering Wind After using Bluster, your pet's next attack creates a damaging swell of wind around its target.
Minor Master Bird of Prey.png Bird of Prey Strike damage is increased when you have swiftness or superspeed. Swiftness is more effective.
Major Master Flock Together.png Flock Together 20 Feathered pets have increased strike damage and health. Beast skills grant quickness around the ranger.
Major Master Perilous Skies.png Perilous Skies Quarry's Peril is replaced by Pelt.
Major Master Thrill of the Catch.png Thrill of the Catch 0.25¼ Restore arrows when you or your pet disable an enemy.
Minor Grandmaster Jetstream.png Jetstream Your base movement speed is increased. Hawkeye grants superspeed.
Major Grandmaster Cloudburst.png Cloudburst Quarry's Peril and Supersonic Arrow reset the cooldown of Bluster. When you use Bluster or Hawkeye, grant boons to nearby allies.
Major Grandmaster Gale Force.png Gale Force Wind Force grants stacking increased movement speed and damage. When you use Hawkeye, convert these into a stronger bonus for a duration.
Major Grandmaster Shrike.png Shrike After a number of missile hits, release a volley of arrows at your target and gain an arrow.
Missiles from this trait do not count toward its next trigger.
